I have had my ProM back now for a few months and I honestly haven't had a chance to run it since I ride most days. But I took it with for 1400 miles last week.

I like my short reviews straight to the point thoughts so, it's good. The ProM is wicked quiet out of those 1400 miles the only falses I had were from CTS' and CX5's and that's it period. The times I did need it the range was plenty to slow down. Did I mention it's tiny? I love that. No big hunk of CM hanging off the windshield just a neat little package that gets the job done. It's got bells and whistles if you like that too, to me it is meh since I drive rural but those bells were awfully nice to have rolling through cities.

All in all it does a great job and I think it is a fantastic detector.

    Settings for the 1400 miles were latest firmware(update before I left) Highway/GPS on//Ka Wide//Ka filter on//K narrow//K filter high// everything else off

This wasn't a detection but I did capture the only laser from an Iowa State Patrol on my trip. Looked like a TruSpeed or Dragon Compact. From what I could tell it was small, thin, and vertical lenses.

That K band detection was pretty sweet. I couldn't see what was the subject in the LIDAR clip. No sounds, so you weren't targeted I'm guessing?

Do you think with the ka filter on it might cut back on the range? Why not ka narrow, if i may ask

I was blown away on that Kband I thought it was for sure that volvo semi but looking back I never got a peep from semis. And that road was BFE, no speed signs.

No they are on the opposite side of the highway shooting from the on ramp at at the south bound traffic. Silver car is tough to see.

I was recommended wide going through Illinois and Indiana as someone said they've seen out of tunes so I ran wide the whole trip.

Welcome to Indiana, and 35.5. Saw the “pyramids” off to the side while you were on I465.

My Pro M might have saved my butt the other day big time! Was cruising around 90 mph in a 65 in the far left lane and received a laser alert. Slowed down rather dramatically and about 1/10 mile up ahead was an Arizona DPS shooting Laser from the median (I think they use LTI 20/20 guns). He either didn't get a reading on the first try, and that was enough to alert me, or he was initially targeting someone else and the Pro M caught the signal. Or he wasn't even shooting me directly. Regardless, it was a great feeling. By the way, I have my detector mounted about 6 inches from the top of the windshield in the upper drivers side corner. Even better is he nailed the guy 2 cars behind me. Thought I was dead meat for awhile as I watched from the rear view mirror as he jumped in his cruiser and took off in my direction.

Great report. I also can do a typo “9” instead of the real number of “7”. Glad you have good brakes that shed 5mph quickly. :hfive:

I have found the Pro M to be a great detector... Great BSM filtering and really good range. And you have to figure its only going to get better.

    My friend ...

WE DO NOT CONDONE SPEEDING AT RDFORUM !!

We just discuss our HOBBY ". Our "sport" with
    what if scenarios.
    We never speed.

Ya know our public Forum is ENJOYED BY State Officials, Law Enforcement Officers, Lawyers, and Enthusiast such as myself.

BUT I AM SURE YOU ALREADY KNEW THAT POSTING YOUR particular "what if" scenario. !!

Great save by the Radenso by the way... On a different thought, as a strategy on the road, I try to say out of the "fast lane" as much as possible.

Was that 35.5 constant on? I’ve had short detections like that with the R1 on 35.5

While, naturally, none of us actually ever speed---I can IMAGINE your excellent feeling when you saw the LEO swing around after you passed --to see him pull someone behind you over!

The only problem I can imagine for your settings is encountering low power k band such as the falcon hr with k filter on high. Otherwise, it’s a solid detector.

Seems to been addressed with the current FW.

The ProM seems is above the R3, DFR9, R-Ex on my September 3 testing against my Falcon HR.

That's great news. I'll take a look at your test. Can you point me (us) to it?

That link took me to Tapatalk...and I scrolled through a bunch of tests. The only pro m I think I saw was a test with tsf off. Is that correct? I’m interested in testing with tsf high as that’s how most users run it and are thrilled with how quiet it is. Sorry if I missed it...I’m on a phone linked to a tapatalk web interface.
