Awesome, thanks for sharing that @InsipidMonkey. I'm back at the installer today to get my install finished up and we chatted about the new Stinger setup. (I see Tom and Nick in the photo with the DET.) They said they were impressed with the small size of the heads and they confirmed that the Stinger went JTG against the DET which is fantastic. They also really liked the strip, though they wished the green LED could be changed to different colors and that Stinger would move away from using USB cables for their wiring. Otherwise they liked the system overall. Hearing their results, that makes me more interested in checking out the fibers and the strip. Plus I like the idea of getting away from the VIP's normal display which is larger and kind of finicky to use at times.

But how do we know the DET was in ECCM mode? after their first go around in the US I'm skeptical of anything Stinger says or does.

Good question. My installer had actually explicitly mentioned that he went in himself to verify that ECCM was enabled. :) I don’t know what version of the gun was used, but it did jam whatever they had.

A six head front and rear setup with front and rear antennas and the larger display screen will run you $7,750 o_O:cashwallet:

What is in the box: View display, Laser Fiber Transmitter & Receiver sensor set x 6, HD+ radar antenna x 2, Computer Center, Laser Center, Extension Box, GPS Antenna, and all the relevant accessories.

Opting for the "Strip" display only saves you $250.

Have any current owners received an upgrade quote yet?

haha yikes...

I'm curious how much it is for the laser only setup with the strip (not regular VIP display) so people can pair it with an R3, RC M, Max Ci, etc.

Triple front with fiber Tx/Rx, it's $2,500.

(For comparison, ALP Triple with 2 Regular, 1 Tx, HiFi, and BT is $1,360)

Stepping up to an additional 3 heads for the rear, we're at $4,615.

(ALP 6-head with an additional 2 Reg and 1 Tx for the rear is $2,210. So it's roughly 2x the price of an ALP.)

Not yet. I've been wondering about this too and just shot them a quick message.

guess the usual has come into play :bang::bang::bang:
We've been talking and I told them that if I was to test, it'd be a quick and ugly install with taping the heads to my grill and running the cables into my car through an open window. They said that they'd really like to see the system installed, but I'm not interested in paying to have someone install it into my car since it'd just be a few runs for testing and I'm already set with jammers otherwise. They're talking with the installers to see if they can work something out in the meantime.

I know you keep asking for updates. When I have something to share I will, but right now I'm waiting just like you.
