    JB:

Past few days of testing, I have found a number of instances where the app's street determination thought I was on a cross-street.

My theory is that the timer-based location request (every 30sec?) just happens to lookup my location as I'm driving through an intersection and it picks the wrong street (the cross street). It's a minor thing, but sometimes it changes the determined PSL until the next update, which changes the silent ride, etc.

IDK if it's possible to determine the direction of travel (which you actually already have) and correlate that to the actual street the driver is on? (I.e. if I'm driving West and two roads are returned in the reverse-geo lookup, one going e/w and one going n/s, the street should be resolved to the e/w one)

RELATED, I was driving last night in a suburb/residential area. I got a CSA from a supposed highway-sighting about 1.5mi away. But I was nowhere near the highway from a logical standpoint. Going to try and insert a map-pic to illustrate where my car was, and where the highway is in relation ("Garden State Parkway").

These are minor things...just continuing to give feedback as I see it.

(Map-pic attached...wasn't sure how to insert it inline.)

The CSA alerts to everything within the angle you select (60 by default) in settings. Think of it as a cone spreading out from your phone at 60 degrees. Everything in that area and within your set distance you'll get an alert for. At least that's how I understand/think it works.

I use Jbv1 in the background with the overlay and "W aze" in the foreground. So I can't comment to the location part of JBV1

Yeah, that can and does happen. To figure out what road segment you're traveling on would require a more navigation-like algorithm, using a lot more CPU and data. I'm not ready to go that far yet, but I'll see if there's something in the reverse geocoding process I can improve.

Cool. It's not that big of a deal. Just reporting it for future consideration.

What do you normally see for your GPS accuracy while running JBV1? It's the small white number on top of the GPS icon.

Since reverting to my real phone it's usually 14 to 39.

I thought there was a setting to switch CSA on same route only. I assume that means same street?

Same Road only, with optional failsafe using narrow angle of approach.

    Yes, road not route. Typo/bonehead.
