It does look like the front of the detector may be partially obscured by the hood and/ or the windshield wiper. I would have it mounted at least a little higher. Maybe it does have a clear view, but it is hard to tell from the camera angle.
I wasnt aware of any KA falses, I hope to get some good encounters Friday, and pass them on.Did they fix the Ka falses?

VG's units are hand picked with the upper db's.
if it gets good results low like that, it should get even better up high
I wasn’t aware until just a few days ago that The Veil Guy was affiliated with Radar Busters.According to this email I received from Whistler today, the CR 97 is a RadarBusters exclusive:

As such, VG has a vested interest in promoting the detector as he directly benefits from sales, and any testing results should be taken with a grain of salt.
A quick forum search for "RadarBusters" will tell you all you need to know about the company as well. Caveat emptor.
ok, i get what youre saying, and i wasnt trying to sound like a xxx i just needed clarification. thank u for the response@Bossdad71
My take on that encounter was neither good or bad. Yes, the detector alerted before the kill zone. Yet the detector was was closer to the radar gun than the target vehicle. Approximately 5 seconds after the initial alert VG points out the leo. Lets say 5 more seconds and VG was in direct clocking range of the leo. So total of 10 seconds to react to a hidden threat in a tricky spot at highway speeds. Now VG appears to be going the speed limit because the leo fired his next shot once the black car passed. So if VG was over the limit how much time would he actually have to slow down? That's the big question. VG already spotted the leos before filming. I wonder what the initial encounter was like.
