Hopefully there is not another thread about this I did a search and didn't find anything, I just received my new Pro M the other day I haven't had much time to drive with it yet but from all the good things I have read it sounds like it will be great. Here is my issue, it does not want to pull off the mount very easily, you have to hold the mount onto the windshield with your left hand (or the mount would pull off of the windshield) and take your right hand and push the release button and pull it off, I have taken some emery cloth to the mount thinking there might be some burrs on it or something but it did not seem to help.

My car is garaged, in a parking garage or in a parking lot with plenty of pedestrian traffic. I rarely take it off the mount. If you need to remove it regularly, I agree that's it's not the easiest thing to pop on or off. Does Amazon have a replacement mount that could help?

Make sure you were not sent the wrong mount with the unit. I was. See my thread about the first 4000 miles with my Pro M

Mine was that way at first, so I lubed the insert tab of the mount with some silicone spray. I remove my ProM from the windshield anytime I am parking anywhere but our garage. So it gets taken on and off a lot. Anyway, after only a week or a bit more, mine loosened up so that I do not have to use a second hand to hold the windshield mount. I can pull the ProM off the windshield mount with one hand.

I called Radenso and they sent me out a new mount right away, I tried the new mount but it was pretty much the same thing, I emery clothed the heck out of it and finally got it to work as it should. I am still trying to figure this detector out, I have only put about 250 miles on it and so far am not impressed with Ka detection, seems short, I have been reading this forum and learning how to tweak this thing for maximum performance.

Not a lot of testing has been done since the last FW updates. Everyone seems to be caught up in the ‘its gotta be quiet’ quest and there may be compromises.

Trust me. It’s not far behind the Class leader in Ka detection, and it’s better on low powered K and normal K.
The thing is in order to bring the R3 down to the quietness if the Pro-M, your losing the range advantage.

If you have to run into the modulated low powered K band like MRCD, MRCT, then nothing can touch it on the market today.

As far as I know there isn't any MRCD or MRCT here in MI. I also own a R3 it has great range but can be a little noisey on K band and that's running K band at 60% I recently took advantage of the $299 price if the Bel GT 360 but returned it because I didn't like the ramp up and figured it would be neglected by Escort when it comes to updates, that's why I bought the Pro M. I'm sure I will get it tuned in to fit my needs. I Hope....

Try one layer of thing teflon tape on both sides of the mount. May improve lubrication.

If you don't mind sacrificing the original Radenso Pro-M Mount you can easily make it fit The Escort Sticky Cup. I had the same problem that a few of you did after I bent my M mount back and forth about 85 times, in an effort to get it straight and plumb on the windshield, I always had one suction cup loose so I gave up on it. My 4 year old Escort Sticky Cup has a removable mounting plate to (I assume) accommodate multiple Escort models. I hack-sawed the tip off the original Pro-M mount that fits into the body of the M. I then drilled two holes in that tip to match up with the Escort Sticky Cup mount threaded holes, filed everything cleanly, installed the modified tip to the Escort sticky Cup using the original screws, and it holds great. It's been on the windshield about 3 weeks now and one edge even overlaps the windshield dots but it holds tight! Hey Radenso.........start making those little plates available pre-drilled so that all the customer has to do is remove and replace two little screws to use a really solid mount.

I finally figured out why my Pro-M would NOT stay on the windshield.........

As received, one of the cups has what appears to be a manufacturing defect. I looks like someone took an exacto knife and "pared away" a sliver at the edge of the cup............... now need to find a cup.

I think someone found similar ones at a hardware store but no idea what or where.

They replaced all of the Pro M gen1 cups for free.

That's what I had heard, but since I only received mine about 4-5 weeks ago, expect that mine is V2.

I purchased a Pro M last week (super happy with the Radenso - will never purchase another Escort product) and was wondering if some users could share some more pics of their mounts. I travel through VA weekly and would like a quick way to remove the unit. Currently using the visor clip but would like to get the detector a little bit lower in my F150. I have an old Escort suction cup so I might try the mod posted earlier in the thread. I thought I recalled seeing a forum member use button magnets earlier but don’t remember what thread it was in. Remember, in VA, a stealth mount is key!

I think it was @MikeSmith that did that. I seen it too. Looked pretty slick.

It’s in one of the recent Pro-M threads. It was last week I think.

I like my Blendmount, but I don’t think that’ll be stealth enough for you.
