As I’ve said I rarely see laser here but saw 2-3 earlier in the year before installing my jammers. As soon as I put them on haven’t seen any since until today!

So this technically wasn’t a save this morning - Waze had them marked so I was already at Psl. On the xway and come around the bend and there’s an unmarked suv. I was not expecting laser at all because I never see it. In a span of less than 5 seconds I come around the bend, there he is and he’s leaning out his open door. He hits me at about 400’-500’ as I get the warning from the blinders (no alert from rd mounted high). Chase car was about a mile down the road with a customer already.

By the time I could even process what was happening I was past him so although I killed the jammers I was past him already. Again all this happened in 5 sec or less. I only got one blinder alert so I’m guessing he only hit me once and I was gone.

The only question - I’m pretty sure they use LTI ultralyte and although blinders alerted they did not announce the gun type. I would presume I still blocked him since I heard the alert?

If they hadn’t been on Waze I would have definelty sped into that trap I’m usually 15-20 over on that stretch.

Next time I will likely kill the jammers before I even get to them if I’m at psl but wasn’t expecting a laser hit at all!

I pulled these pics online - first is the shooter vehicle but it was completely unmarked. 2nd was chase vehicle. Unmarked was next to the wall in the passing lane so it almost just looked like a stopped vehicle.

Anyway was cool to see it all in action for the first time!

Glad to hear. Yeah, it would be nice in the future to see him on waze, adjust your speed and prepare to kill the jammers immediately (or set to receive only mode). That's in the best interest of our forum / broader community. Jamming all the way past (which I know you said you won't do in the future) is sub-optimal and could create more states interested in banning them.

Agreed 100%! There was no time to do anything but yes I get it!

Sounds like you need a dashcam so we can better hear/see what happens for future encounters. I've had my ALP's installed for almost a year now and still haven't been hit with LIDAR.

if you are using the 1,2,3, switch it wont announce the type of gun, it you use just the cpu and set the jtk to your desired time, it will announce gun type

Congratulations on your first jam. They're always startling when you don't expect them.

Umm blinder idk . LI what version?
These are pics of the screens from the other day. Idk if they are the most recent updates or not or if it matters. And I have both sensors checked on li now since I got a fixed one. I suppose I could connect and do updates if it would work
