First pic of British tourist who racked up £36k fines in a £270k Lamborghini in Dubai… as it’s revealed he normally drives a Vauxhall Corsa mobility car
www.6speedonline.com: Man Rents Lamborghini Huracan, Racks up 33 Speeding Tickets

It took the joyriding Hashi a mere 3 hours to rack up an incredible 33 speeding tickets, at one point topping out at 150 mph.

But there is a big twist to this story, however. In Dubai, speeding tickets acquired while driving a rental car are, incredibly, the responsibility of the rental car company. Not the guy who “earned them.”

He is stuck in Dubai because he refuses to pay the huge fine for breaking the limit 33 times while racing up to speeds of 150mph. Farah cannot leave the country because the hire company have his passport and refuse to give it back until he pays.

    LOL

    Say hello to debtors prison

    P.S.
    Never go to Dubai

We do business there and I understand it's very nice then you hit this wall where it gets nasty. However, our former CEO took his $300M chose to retire there so they got something going on.

So is the lesson here don't rent a car from a rental company that requires temporary relinquishment of your passport until you return the vehicle?

Surely he can find a British Embassy and work something out regarding his documents, provided he isn't detained or arrested first by UAE government officials.

What a puss. I do 159 on my commute home from work. Anything under 200 in a Lamborghini is Puss.

Funny stuff OP thanks for sharing!

My biggest issue with Dubai is it's government is basically fa
Yeah.. they took his passport only after they found out about the tickets, as leverage so he pays. Lesson is never give your passport to anybody in a foreign country, especially if it's not a legal authority, such as a rental car business. In a place like Dubai, they would have to rip it out of my cold dead hands before I gave it up.
