Will upload the camera footage (if it saved) on sunday. I just got home from a 14h drive and have to wake up tomorrow early for my flight to Houston. Anyhow wife and I were on VA 81 crusing at 70+ (speed limit 70 but won't say speed since don't want to self incriminate ). Fedex ground tractor trailer is in right lane going slower than I so I am passing him (it's the dual trailer truck) I am about halfway into passing him (right at the trailer junction) while he decides to accelerate slightly and change lanes onto my left lane (2 lane highway); he blindly changes lanes going 70++ meanwhile I immediately turn onto the rumble strip and start decelerating while pressing my horn. He doesn't interrupt his lane change and I manage to deaccelarte and right myself back into my lane (from the rumble breakdown lane w/o flipping my suv ) while missing the rear of the truck by meare inches.

thanks

If it was as egregious as it sounds, might let FedEx know and submit the footage.

You're writing a work of fiction. There is no self incrimination unless you post a video of it.
But I agree, submit complaint/video to FedEx if you have it.
I was in VA the other day and drove around Loudoun County going over 100mph hoping to jam those bears.

Was he closing in on a slower vehicle?
No that's the ****y thing there was at least 3 tractor trailer empty space in frnt of him. No real reason to suddenly ly shift lanes. But than again I have to watch the footage again since I was reacting to impending crash so I wasn't paying much attention to the forward right (it was blocked by a trucks cab)

I will send it to fedex but sponge says that they don't give rats ass since most drivers are contractors

Sigh if it was ups I could have used a form of "what can brown do for you" joke but alas.

You can't even be charged with video evidence, unless the video shows it was YOU driving the car. Otherwise you can just make any claim you want; might have been someone else driving.

Was he closing in on a slower vehicle?
Maybe he just knows that the laws of physics say that he wins unless it's another tractor trailer he's cutting off...

FedEx gives less than zero ****s. They don't employ the drivers. They have little to no direct contact with them. The drivers are all assholes.

@tempnexus Is that some high tech spy gadget in use that changed your voice to a barking sound?

He turned his signal on at the 6-7 sec mark before you got close to him, likely because he seen the cars coming down the on ramp onto the highway. I don't think he seen you coming up as fast as you were and througt he had room to move over after quickly checking his left mirrors. You can see that he tries to recorrect and go back right at the 11 sec mark but then realizes he's screwed by the cars entering and his speed he's traveling and recommits back to the left lane.

Bad situation for both drivers there. Looks like an honest mistake on FedEx's part since he was signaling over and had room initially.
Yeah after watching it I see it. But when it happened I didn't see it since I had to react.

I agree with you. For sure scary as hell when it happens. Don’t think it was intentional.

Thanks for sharing your video. I’m glad my wife isn’t the only one bitching at me when I drive.

Yeap it was, I was more worried about inherent suv instability at those speeds. But yeah in retrospect after watching it few times I don't blame the trucker. We were both in a ****y situation brought on by people who don't know how to merge from an on ramp. However when it happened I didn't see it that way since I was focused on driving and seeing him turn into me I didn't attriBute the reason to anything else but assholeness. Hence it's great to have a dash cam and being able to see the footage in a non adrenaline state...it restores my faith in humanity.

Neah that's just my life...in addition to putting up with my wife criticizing my driving I also have to put up with my dog criticizing my driving.

You need to tighten the mount some more or get a better mount. The amount of shaking is terrible!
