Today I went to lunch with Ping one of our document analyst. He's got a modified e90 BMW 335. It's a pretty pimp ride although the waste gate blow off whistle is kind of "Rice". But he's from Thailand originally so go figure.. Anyways, on the way back from lunch he says "I'm gonna wash my car real quick" then darts into a service station auto car wash. As we pull up to the pay station I tell him you know these things are terrible for your paint? As he puts his credit card in he goes "Nah, it's okay. I only do this sometimes" then we pull into the wash bay. We pull in slowly until the light turns red to stop. Then Ping opens the door and gets out out of the car. I say "Ping! what are you doing? You can't get out of the car?" and he says "I no like these things so I wait outside". Then he huts the door and leaves me sitting in his car the whole cycle. I can see him standing outside the car wash smoking a cigarette watching me and I'm just sitting there. Finally the cycle ends then he walks into the car wash opens the door and climbs back in. As we drive out I tell him "I've never heard of car wash anxiety?" and he looks at me and says "In Thailand those things can kill you"
