Go figure Hidalgo Co. topped the list by nearly double for speeding tickets. That little hole in the wall town between Houston and Corpus Christi has helped themselves to many of my friends wallets. There but by the grace of god go I.

Any knowledge of how things are in the Austin area? I know some highways are 75-85 mph, and I heard if you get caught even a few miles an hour over, they’re pretty strict about it, since it’s so high to begin with. But that was just a couple waitresses from a couple restaurants, so I don’t really know if that’s true..

I've heard DPS will hold you to less than 5 over on the 85 mph section of I30 but I always do 100-115 on it and I'm rarely much faster than the other traffic. The only time I ran into a worrisome deployment was DPS running a moving rear IO Charger in the slow lane at 75 mph. However, with the Valentine he was easy to detect early. Other than that Waze participation is so high any stationary trap will be pinned in less than a minute.

So....If I use my Wisconsin license to come to speed in Texas, it's like the best possible outcome right? I'll get very few tickets and I won't get any points!

Austin is Travis Co. and Williamson Co. is north, and starts at Round Rock.

There is a supposed to be a toll road in Utah that although has a speed limit is so little enforced that some guys drive there cars out there to wind them out.
