Probably none. Just point to point video. My RLC ticket last year had speed listed in tiny print at the bottom of the pictures.

True, but more than likely they will add more locations once they get on this drug from a 24/7/365 cash cow...

As for the type of radar not sure but will be watching...

So I would assume these will be rear photos...hmmm might have to give this some thought on a counter measure...

@LexusISF @Msan2000
Behold. The technology has been there all along. See in the black bar of the photos. Now they will fine tune the calibration and issue speeding tickets.

I guess they take multiple pictures and then calculate the speed on distance travelled?

This tech it's a video and the camera takes stills from it. It's locked in place monitoring the target area and it calculates how long it takes for a car to pass through view. All RLCs in BC are digital so all could be converted to full time speed trap mode. GPS seems to be the best low key defence here.

Waze will be our friend for these. Hopefully the threshold isn't 10km/hr over PSL. They said it would only capture excessive speeds but I'll belive it when I see it.

Waze could help but whenever I it use here, I dont see many users and not much activity. I run an R3 and have heard the RLC database is not the best/current but dont know if that is accurate. As was notes though we will know the locations so just have to be careful...

Waze has all current camera locations. Cheetah also works equally well, but requires a subscription fee.

Escort's database appears to be accurate also.

Check out SpeedCheetah.com and look at their GPS units and android app. I've used it here and in Europe and it's excellent as a camera warning system.
