NHP exclusively using KA band MPH radar with POP along with some Laser handheld units in remote locations on interstate. Las Metro police motorcycle units are still using K band handheld guns. Some of the newer Las Vegas Metro Police truck units are using KA band in the vehicle. They are still using K band extensively in Las Vegas area. Run K and KA while in Nevada.

K? I’ve never seen anyone in Vegas using K.
Moto cops around the airport and in Henderson have handheld K units. Been hit by them twice.

A moto guy lives down the street from us and the F'er always sets up at the corner of our street because it drops from from 45 to 35. I've never caught what hes using because hes always got a customer already.

I can confirm Henderson PD utilizes K band In addition to lidar and Ka band. Their K band is tuned between 24.140-24.170. Been hit with instant on multiple times. Their LIDAR is dragon eye, not many hits but definitely a few. Ka band is all 33.8
S/W Henderson plenty of speed traps being enforced in 30 MPH zones

Oh really? Full size or Compact? That's the first I've heard of it being used in NV so I'd just like to confirm so I can let people know now when they ask. :)

Compact. Henderson shooting off an overpass bridge on the 215 freeway. Also NV State Troopers are slowly bringing into service compact dragon eyes. I have JTK set to 4 seconds. I can confirm seeing the officer re aiming and shooting again. I would assume he could not get an initial speed reading.

Nhp likes rolling I/o 33.8 right as they are about to pass you.
Yes, especially in unmarked sedans

I’m specifically referring to Henderson PD use of K band. I’m unsure of Las Vegas metros use of K band. Two different jurisdictions

I have yet to see K band myself. I'm not saying it's not there or not used.

Does anyone know what frequencies they are using? Metro? Henderson?

With all the BSM false and seems like quite the number of store entrances, I am debating turning K off. It is a gambling town...

I wouldn’t turn K off in Henderson. I’ve traveled to Henderson and seen the K Band myself every time I’m there.

Do you happen to know the frequency? Can build a box to let it through.

Unfortunately I don't remember the exact frequency. I typically go there maybe one every year for work.

Every time I travel there I'm usually there for a few days, and I always pass one of their marked Chevy Patrol SUVs at least once per trip, and they do have K Band.
In addition to regular K Band, I can tell you though, that they do have Low Powered K Band, specifically Kustom Raptor RP-1. I actually discovered this by accident.

When I was in Henderson, I was staying at a Hotel up near Lake Las Vegas, just North East of Henderson. I missed my turn, and ended up getting rerouted by another street. This took me right by the Henderson City offices. It was after 8pm in the evening, so they had all sorts of city owned vehicles parked there for the night. Their parking lot was full and overflowing and so they had tons of unmarked vehicles parked on the street. I was able to slow down and look closely at them, and saw some unmarked Dodge Chargers with Raptor RP-1's mounted on the dash. The Raptor RP-1's have a distinctive appearance to them, and are easily identifiable.

So if anything, be aware that there is Low Powered K Band there. You'll need to get an RD with really good K filtering that won't block out legitimate low powered K Band. The best would be the Radenso Pro M and Randenso RC M.

Henderson’s motor units use K band IO

Their k band frequently as I seen it’s centered well. As low as 24.119-24.67
Go ahead and plug everything in, and then run the firmware and hifi updates over USB. Then run the reset defaults and memorize sensors. Then go ahead and configure bluetooth however you want.

There's not really a specific order other than making sure that you memorize sensors after you change your sensors around. Everything else is flexible.
FYI, since you added a Tx head, you will not go into defense mode now until your speed reaches 18 mph. Or is it 20. I assume you bought the GPS unit as it’s required for the Tx.

I live in Henderson and K band is frequently used. They Use IO, so when my max 360 goes from quiet to full Alert within a second I know the K band threat is real. BTW LIDAR use is not common, State troopers and Henderson use them now and then. When they shoot LIDAR it’s Dragon eye.

You are correct. Back in May as I was leaving Boulder City down the big hill towards the dam a blue motorcycle (State Trooper?) hit me with a Dragoneye. Looked like a compact.

State troopers and Henderson use them now and then. When they shoot LIDAR it’s Dragon eye.

I am aware of the NHP and their Ka 33.8 and the LIDAR.

Guess I dont travel much in henderson as never seen a K alert that was legit. Hmmmm...maybe I will create a profile for Henderson for the few times I roll through there going to the lake.

I run a V1 with JBV1 app

Picked up Metro on 95 stationary north bound right after Paiute reservation. I thought it was a fluke as well since I've never seen it either. 3 patrol trucks stationary in the emergency lane, one of them was doing the K pew pew.

NHP's motorcycle cops are using hand held LIDAR on 95 as well from Rainbow on further north.

Thanks for the update! NHP is also using LIDAR on 215 by Summerlin.

215 near aliante as well. A few times I've seen them post a bike on the bridge and have 5 cars on the on ramp. Bike gets your speed and car stops you.
