Why is the TX Sensor not available in Australia?

Not worth running rear sensors now in WA when running detection only since the jammer ban - it would just tell you a ticket is in the mail :)

I wonder if they will wheel out the 3D tracking radar based TraffiStars which are also gazetted, now the lidar based S350's have been shown to give faulty readings. Mind you, the very same 3D tracking radars at the entry/exits of the P2P section have been switched off as well due to being faulty.

Also plenty of RD options now with good MRCT radar detection.

Surprised they jumped ship to Jenoptik, and didn't just get the newer Poliscan FM1's

Apparently the police minister was also pushing for an RD ban - strange it didn't happen to maximise revenue potential.
Ok but if you were to install them in order to defend against rear facing Poliscans what would be needed to effectively jam - location, angles etc?

Which state are you in?

WA or QLD?

The setup configuration is rather different.

I'm going to be running 3 heads on the rear.

2 x RX heads on a ~25 degree angle outwards and 1 TX in the centre level and straight.

Should combat the rear facing Poliscan's we are plagued with here

Curious to know if your Aussie CPU is HW1 or 2? HW1 doesn't support TX, so I'm wondering if Australia got HW2 CPU's? Introducing the TX to Australia would require a HW2 CPU I gather? What did you get in your purchase?
Cheers

DETC approved for use (and used by moto cops in the state of Victoria only). DragonEye algos are enabled for firmware on AU CPU's
Did not know Vic had Dragoneye! Not surprised it has turned up tho. Was going to happen eventually. Cheers for the tip off.

Yes, the HW.2's were supplied in AU, and now the HW.3's are supplied.

Both mine are HW.1

No TX though. Can you not run a TX on HW1? Thought HW2 in Oz was pretty much for net radar ect? Thinking of upgrading to HW2 for TX later down the track.

Correct, TX not compatible on HW.1

Supposedly you can't run an R/G3 and NR DSP on HW.1, but I think its been done by one of the AU members before.

Probably worth the upgrade then. I'd palm off my HW1 if I do but probably wouldn't fetch much. The game is changing quite fast on the gov side of the fence. It's got me thinking since you mention Dragon eye. Have a feeling that might become standard around the country eventually. Unsure...

Car is booked in for Monday to have the custom stealth rear install finalised.

That is if Covid 19 doesn't throw a spanner in the works etc.

I've decided against using the TX head as I'm pushing the minimum ground clearance for it to operate correctly.

I'll be using 3 x RX Heads - 2 outer ones with as much toe out as possible and centre straight ahead.

I'll update my install thread and do some testing if I get time!

what angle are you towing out ? im geussing as much as 30 to 35 degrees maybe more ? then you will need an over lap to cover that centre head

as for heights are you setting up for tripods or the one in the rear of vehicles ? i know i cant do both even on the front set up

i think before fully install you would need to test first to fine tune before commencing the full rear install ...if you dont mind me asking who is doing the install ?
