I got hit going 52 in a (presumably) 35. The speeds go 70 down to 55 and 45 but I didn't see the 35 sign. Verified Dragoneye. Asked the LEO after I recognised the lens look beforehand and caught him off guard. One thing though, the range was 145.2 feet. I may be wrong but isn't there a minimum range for accuracy?

Yikes that’s close. No chance for an eye save? Maybe he also got you further back...? No minimum range for accuracy.

Cosine error would be the only error in the reading as you get very close. And that would favor you so...

ALP/TMG really seems like it's becoming a need if you drive into Georgia... I hope you have good luck getting the ticket tossed or reduced!

It was after a curve and black on black car at 10p. He wasn't a bad guy tho. He dropped it down to 49 cause it wasn't my car, I just finished fixing it and I still needed to go to my car and drive it back home.

Sorry to hear that for more then one reason. Great, pretty soon every Deputy Bernard P. Milton Oliver Fife in the smallest jurisdiction in Georgia is going to be armed with a DragonEye if this keeps up!

DragonEye's minimum range is 10 ft. Cosine error actually reduces the speed reading on the gun so that would help you. Sorry about your ticket, isn't this your second DE ticket? :(

Don't know if my first one was a DE. The serial number on my first ticket started with DE-xxxx. The first one I proaprob deserved. This one is definitely a money gathering trap. Heck, my court date is 3 months from now!! That probably means he has so many unsettled tickets under his belt he may as well retire early.

I wouldn't be surprised if they get it discounted here or possibly even just see it as helping the local economy. Scott is one hell of a man...

Trust me, I'm very well aware of what you guys were saying. I was truly unaware of the dip in the speed limit. Never been to Snellville before and it's the middle of the night in a car that's not mine. I walked into this blind as a bat.
I know exactly where DE HQ is. I drive by it every day going to work.

I think too many Georgian are already familiar with Scott and DragonEye Technology. Scott was previously at Laser Atlanta Optics also. Lidar (wish my auto correct would stop taking the "D" out of Lidar, guess I have to save it to the dictionary) is especially bad in the major counties that make up Metro Atlanta and its surroundings.

DragonEye is 6 miles from my home so I can't even drive 5 miles east of my home without getting hit by Lidar at least once going east and once coming back home!

Not to mention that cops here can't be @$$ed to use radar and discern between what the radar hooked to and what it didn't report. Lidar is just point, shoot, get speed, and to most laser jammers, get :owned:.

Get a camcorder and record the area. I have seen officers intentionally sit in areas where the lower speed limit sign is missing.Locally, they love highway exit ramps.Short ramps off a 65 mph highway.

I'm rarely around there so I was using my GPS because it's a car I fixed for a lady and I was driving to her house to drop it off. But the Judge there is absolutely anal. I woke up late for court (I avoid rush hour most of the time so I don't know rush hour eta and I read the court time wrong. 30 minutes late, they told me I couldn't go in. I called in pretending to be someone else asking if I could get it rescheduled and the lady told me that I had to miss my college class at 2pm and be there or else a warrant would be out for my arrest and I can't reschedule on the day of court and the judge wouldn't accept oversleeping and school over fighting or paying up.

--- DOUBLEPOST MERGED ---

Anyways, lesson learned. The police can be nice people, but they are complete f***ing idiots.
