Hit the Furnware update button in BT from time to time. Also make sure you are on the latest app.

@BestRadarDetectors I am running mixed NR's, with .203 on DSP and 9.9.9 ALP firmware...I am still afraid to hit update, should I continue to wait?

Side note- I am not happy with the delays when doing K band response testing, not near as quick as it used to be, are there any updates that are going to help that? The NetRadar is very similar to 1.46 on Uniden but the K filter delay is longer though, almost twice as long, my TSR Redline even beats it in speed.

I know we are wanting a quiet detector for BSM and looking for a balance but also wondering of options, updates, more setup choices, etc.

I have a Kustom 1000ds with front and rear antennas (real LEO gun) and Bushnell, similar results with a few anomalies.

I am not seeing the speeds listed in first OP post.

    Thoughts...

I've been running FW 5.4.8 and DSP 110.205 for months now without issues. What's your concern about updating?

I have mixed units new DSP front and old NR rear, I updated a while back and got disconnect errors so I had to reload the beta firmware that I had that got rid of the errors, it was a pain in the hiney and a certain process in order to go back in firmware.

I didn't want to get my disconnect errors back, but also have questions about the k band delay changes and newer firmware.

Update both to the current and see how you do. Both are currently behind.

Updated...same as before, I get Rear Radar Disconnected warnings every time I cycle through profiles. If I have a profile with rear antenna off then no warning.

I may have to see about the DSP upgrade to solve this but I don't really need it for rear, the NR-O does fine for that, I'll have to think about it...
So every time I go from C to A on profiles (App) I get the Rear Antenna Disconnect message, just like before. Not a huge deal but I don't know what I will do, I am considering the DSP upgrade if it is the only solution as firmware's proceed and I will want/need to update, but will see.

A major concern of mine is current response times especially with Traffic filter along with BSM filtering of those go** dam* Pacifica's and Honda/Acura falses around 24.195-.20x's, it's getting untolerable! My testing shows an uncomfortable slow scan time compared to original firmware (for my wants at least) and I don't want to (can't due to local techniques) kill my range to make things quiet.

I see too many similarities to the new Uniden 1.46 Firmware in regards to response and I don't like it! I want the older no delay Traffic filter back!

If you pass a Parking Only profile you will get disconnect errors because the antennas get turned off in parking only profiles. If you quickly switch profiles the antennas wont have enough time to boot up before you enter an active profile.

I upgrade my rear to DSP, because of 2 reason, 1. It was to great of a deal to let pass by. 2. IMO I believe we will see better filtering coming down the road with the DSP unit, that most likely would not be possible with the original units. The DSP range was not even a consideration.

You are correct. BRD has stated that the NR-O is fully developed, and that future radar improvements will be focused on the DSP antenna.

I also still get the "Warning antenna disconnected" when cycling though profiles. I have DSP front, non-DSP back. I don't have any profiles that are parking only. Awhile back when I installed a "beta fix" the warnings went away. Then when I upgraded to the latest antenna and control box firmware it returned. I've established that the warning is in error, because I can immediately after the warning, hit it with Ka radar and both front and back detect....so the warning is not a deal breaker, but it would be nice if it could go away. Even with the generous trade in deal for a rear DSP, upgrading the rear antenna is not in the cards for me at the moment.

The warning does seem to be a NR-O antenna issue. I upgraded to the DSP and the message is gone, even with a parking only profile.

I am thinking about upgrading but as of now I never get a false from the NR-O in the rear, even from the f***in Pacifica's, I am worried I will with the DSP.

    Decision time I guess...

What are the chances the Chrysler, Acura, Honda, 24.196-.201's can be tamed with a future update? They are out of control!

BRD has stated that a future update will offer the equivalent of box muting. If filtering doesn’t get to the point of rejecting these, box muting that little slice of K should do the trick.

Yes, That will only work with DSP's because the Analog detectors are not accurate enough to block out a small frequency range. On the list of things to do is to add lockout of specific frequencies that users can either enter on the setup page or store automatically through the control pad during an alert. We have several tasks still in front so it might be a few months but its on the to do list..

Thanks BRD. It's reassuring to know that DSP development is ongoing and that more improvements are in the pipeline. I'm pleased with my investment.
