Do these units have a literal parking sensor functionality? If so, how do you activate that and turn off anything to do with laser through the main CPU?

I saw jag’s vid in the unit size thread but this didn’t seem relevant enough to go in that thread so I thought I’d drop it here.

Sarge answered this earlier, to keep the price down the TMG will not at this time be a Laser Parking Assist System, it is an affordable top of the line defense system.

Since there is no parking assist at this time, just push it as a Laser Detector, or Laser Defense. TMG-LD1 Keep the TMG, as there is already so much of it referenced here on RDF,
Unless you want a clean slate without a trace of how it was Enthusiast Assisted Development then EAD-LD1

Thats a great thought. Keep it coded and simple. Ive seen over the years, when you start addidng wifi and other features to products that have to work hard like this, your gonna have some software problems, glitches and bugs. Id like to see a simple unit, that has one goal in mind and one goal only without much thought.

Any additional Updates @The Only Sarge ? Really need some good Lidar protection especially since I saw my first Lidar unit being used in Blue Ridge, Georgia this weekend by the local PD! First time I have been hit with Lidar since starting to drive with a V1 App and when the Alert went off, it scared everybody in the vehicle!

I guess they might have been doing their proof of concept or certification as right after I was clocked by Lidar, I was immediately hit with Ka I/O!

I'm certainly not going to speak for Sarge, but he's otherwise occupied with something very important. We need to let him take care of that. Testing is still going on with the beta users. When Sarge is ready, he'll give us an update.

I like to add a point of interest , on the manufacture side , wondering if the ports for each sensor is ran in parallel or series ? Reason being i had a sensor fail and got nailed , unpluged it , ran with one sensor till i recieved the new one , however it knocked the good sensor out while the bad one was pluged in , must b in series , some of u may already know this but was hoping there in parrallel

Thirdly....The handheld tester. I am selling advertising space on it :) Yes my brain works that way cuz they basically pay for the unit......Simple silk screen logo thing......So it will remain free. If your test unit sez Big Juanita's House of Pain dont be alarmed.
Oooh so the testers were initially supposed to be free?

It was/is a fluid situation rolling this product out. We had target pricing and busted our ass to hit it and came damn close to it. Initially and still will put somebody's logo on the testers and give them to customers for free. In other words sell advertising space...as I said initially.I do have some takers and am working through some arrangements with major manufacturers that will allow us to pass along lower pricing on certain components. As stated.....TMG is a work in progress but we never lose our sensitivity to pricing.

--- DOUBLEPOST MERGED ---

@tempnexus I was just told by a few members the first run that went out had free testers in them.......so there ya go.
