Going NB on the PA NE Extension towards Allentown. I was doing about +25-28 on a Sunday morning a few weeks back (clear left lane, no tailgating, or weaving). I did that for a good 5-10 miles, and I started to see a Nissan Rogue guy tailing me as a rabbit. Fair enough, I did have the R3 running 100% K band sensitivity with K Filter On (TSF Off). I start to reach a upward slope which banks to the right, then downwards slope banking to the right as well. Waze lets me know theres a cop ahead. Shortly after, the R3 alerts to K-band. Not taking a chance, I cut to the right behind a slower moving vehicle and slow down to about 75ish. I think the PSL is 70. Nissan Rogue guy guns past me doing my original speed. No sooner do I crest the hill that within 500-700 feet is a PA state trooper on the right ready to pounce. And pounce he did, he nearly ran me off the road in fact. He pulled in, gunned for Nissan Rogue guy, and I bet that wasn't a pleasant conversation. +1 for the R3 + Waze. Otherwise my goose was cooked that morning. K band is lethal in PA, between all the falses with drones & BSM, it's hard to pick out legit threats.

Was the trooper sitting in a tree line where there is a mechanical gate for service vehicles to leave the highway? Or was he just in the shoulder? I drive this route everyday to work and routinely go PSL +20-25.

Those make the best videos.

I had a Mini Cooper get nabbed using me as rabbit. Near I can tell he got clocked rear Ka by a trooper that entered the freeway behind him. Saw the mini but missed me.

He was sitting in one of those gated access emergency access points on a local street. It was very visible, the only problem was that due to terrain you never stood a chance at spotting him sooner. The good part about the NE extension is that due to the barrier on the dividers, there isn't a left shoulder for them to hide around. It's 90% usually the right shoulder where they sit. K band sucks in PA because you never know when they are lurking and when it's just a drone.

Thanks, yeah I know this spot very well. I have never seen a trooper here before though. My V1/V1 Driver have 476 N/S very well mapped out so all those K-band signs and such are all GPSmuted luckily. My commute is quiet except for police and the occasional Mazda CX5.

I never understand why the car behind me doesn't get it when I drop speed suddenly by 20 mph and pull to the right....you'd think something would be going through their mind - cop, deer, tire in the road, something....

Some folks are just so darn dense they don't know how to enjoy the benefits of a good rabbit.

Several years ago I had a chap running right on my six, so close in fact that if I went full-on ABS to drop anchor, the knucklehead would have been wearing my ass for a hat. It took a dose of ever-increasing my speed to finally get his female passenger to, no doubt, tell him to slow down that I finally shook the fool.
