I have a decent amount of scratches on my R3 lens. I attached a pic below.

Will the scratches affect my performance and range? Has anyone replaced their R1/R3 lens and if so what’s the process?

No it will not affect the performance of your unit.

X2. Should not affect performance at all. If you are worried about how it looks just get some clear coat safe rubbing compound and buff it up with a microfiber cloth.

Idiot scratches are a result of Uniden’s idiotic location of the mounting slot. Just my opinion :pirate: :yarr:

I hope Uniden considers moving the mounting slot to a place (on top?) where your can more easily eyeball the connection. I leave the unit mounted at home in the garage and disconnect the power cable at the receiver. Out in public I'm not leaving that thing mounted as it invites theft.

I have the same problem and asked the same question in one of my threads. Performance wise it doesn’t make any difference. Scratches do affect laser jammers though so maybe scratches do affect the laser detection. Although if you’re actually relying on the R3 as laser defense it’s not going to matter what it looks like, you’re not protected

No. The silly light pipe for LIDAR is the little clear piece of plastic poking out on top.
