Pretty happy with how the Ram head and TX worked out.

Still some tweaking and checking to do, but the hardest part is pretty much there.

Thanks for the help and suggestions everyone.

I would paint that badge black... just to avoid any reflections with TX...

I did push it out past. That was kind of a concern.

I can get other badges as a Matte Black before putting a hole in this one. I was concerned that it would cost an arm and a leg. Not the case.

You're okay. I've tested a few cars with the TX sensor on top of chrome. As long as its pushed out past it, you'll be okay

Testing will tell of course, but I would be comfortable running that set up. It should perform very well.

Looks good. I would test it as soon as possible against DET, then possibly move RXs closer to headlights. Like 5-6 inches.

That won't achive the results he wants for the lizard. Those sensors will be too far apart.

I moved the RX sensors in just a little for ease of install. About a 1/2”. There’s a flat tab on the inside of the grill at that location.

I was bound and determined to try 25.5 inside edge to edge. The head light was within 20”, so I’m hoping the the 1/2” won’t be detrimental to the protection.

The backend is set. I might bring the TX out a smidgen, but I also have a rear TX plate bracket coming.

@Heywood That ledge will not work there. You'll get reflections coming up into the sensor and you'll get IPT.

You would have to move the sensors down by the lower bumper ledge/lip Sucks but you'll get better results from there. Where its at, its not good. Get it tested though, but I can tell you the results won't be favorable.

That’s exactly how I had mine on my pick up truck and it tested extremely well.

Lol. I was using Dukes setup as my template. I tried to do my homework ahead of time being an ALP rookie.

I’m guessing most of rear shots will be on ramp, overpass, and straight on shots.

I do agree with having to move my front end sensors up from where they were in option 1. I didn’t think of cresting a hill ( thanks for that tip, it’s a good one and one not discussed as much on installations)

Outside of the normal alignment questions, one of my points of concern are the coverage of the lower fog lights.

Just went out and measured it and from the center of the RX sensors to the center of the fog light is 25”. The headlight is 20”

Then again the fog lights seem to be slightly angled off to the ditches at about 10 to 15 degrees.

Maybe I’m overthinking it. Testing will tell the tale. You’d have to be a fairly good shot to hit them without scattering over to the RX sensors pattern 150’ or further away.

Would we ever have to worry about reflections when it comes to the TX though? The TX only sends so technically shouldn't it be able to be flush with the surface?

    Just to up date.

Met up with wrxsti15. Had a great time meeting him. Great guy. Showed me his fantastic set up.

JTG/ JFG 100%. No punch throughs against the Dragoneye compact.

    No adjustments needed.

We tested his as well. I shot his then I drove his and let him shoot his own setup. JTG/JFG.

I’m sure we’ll get together again soon. I learned a lot.

Put my mind at ease that’s for sure.

Very surprised how light the DEC is.
