Just want to pick everyone’s brain.

Setting up a 2 RX/ 1 TX system on my truck.

RX sensors too low? They’re at 25.5 inside edge to inside edge.

Will the bottom lip do anything to it protection wise or does the light pattern flare out?

And I was thinking of taking a dremel and mounting the TX head above the Ram head or off the side.

Any suggestions??

Thanks

Option #2 for the regular sensors. If you can get the TX into the Ram that would be wicked. Off topic, but did you get rear sensors as well?

Can you put up a front profile picture also?

Definitely no go on the first option. You'll have issues with cresting hills.

Your tape needs metric units sir. Man that's a crazy install. Make sure the heads have some sort of spacing from any parts of the body. It will help them see the beam easier

The back is going to be set up like Dukes. I have to keep the RX heads back so the tail gate won’t hit it.
Just going to double side tape it to the bumper.
The TX double sided to the NoPhoto plate until my TX license plate holder shows up.

That’s what gave me the idea that I might be able to run the front RX heads low.

The TX head will sit just below the RC-M front antenna.

All my tapes are bi-sexual.

Center of the ram head to the fog light is 38 inches. ( 965 mm for system lol)

Center of the ram head to the headlight is 32” 815 mm

Now you're speaking Canadian! Damn 38" is a lot. I know of one member who went to 33" and had excellent results. You might just have to go for it. You want the TX up high

I’m trying to keep the inside edges to 25.5” (647 mm). I could push it, but from what I’ve read, may not be the best idea when facing the dragon.

That seems to be optimum.

It’s not a big deal to change if need be. Grill comes right out.

The RX Head 13.5” from center easily covers the head light.
Just barely covers the inside edge of the fog light using a 24” radius from the RX head.

I meant more like you see it from front straight on. Sorry I was on my phone and wasn't clear enough. But I looked it up on google so it's good.

You definitely need to get tested with this setup so I would do a temp install using 3M tape for option 2 and test it there. If the CM PT then bring the sensors closer. If the headlights PT afterwards, move it back to 25.5" and lower the sensors by an inch somehow. Repeat until JTG. lol

But experience tells me you should be good using option 2 with very minor adjustments.

Thanks for the advise.

I’m going to go for the inside edge to edge at 25.5.
I’ll push the RX sensor out a bit as well so it’s slightly pushed forward.

Bubble in or outside edge? Any difference?

Bubbles outside. With bubbles in, you have to add like 2 inches of separation if I recall corectly. So with bubbles in, you do 27" of separation inside edge to inside edge.

Looks like a pretty straight forward install, and sensors blend in really well with that style of grille. Would love to see the testing results when it's all done!
