Over the 4th weekend I took a trip from Metro Detroit to Bowling Green , KY. I didn’t see a single LEO in MI or KY. Not one. Ohio however was a different story !
It was a hornets nest. There must have been 10 separate traps on I75. Multiple LEOs working each trap. Most with customers. I was in no rush and set the cruise at psl +3 and stayed in the center or Right lane. It was mostly stationary KA. I was blasted once with some nasty rolling IO. No prior warning chirps. He may have just have been returning to set up again. I also came across Two visibly confirmed Laser traps. The First gave me no warning from scatter. Just full on Laser alert. That was my first ever laser on the R3. The second was a LEO on the side of the road standing in the car door pointing the gun at me. No alert to that one at all. Not sure if the RD didn’t pick it up or he didn’t bother to paint me. All traps were already marked on Waze.
    Thanks for reading.

Yeah, there's nowhere quite like Ohio when it comes to traffic enforcement. I've lived in 13 states and Ohio seems to see speeding as a sign of disrespect for it's laws.

I went to Indy about 2 weeks ago and the leos were all over I-70, sometimes I would see 2 or 3 cars parked in the median. I did have one scary encounter coming into ohio from PA I came around a corner at 20+ psl, the next thing I know the Ka on the V1 going off. I slowed down to PSL and when I passed the cop car I should see the officer sleep.

I did see one cop car with a front and rear radar antenna on the light bar of the patrol car. Not sure if that was a X band or K band radar

Not to mention a reliable source of income, which is the true motivation for interstate hwy speed enforcement.
