Just wanted to toss up a quick post, did a little mini test tonight with @Juan Freire against his Blinder HP-905 dual setup on his Lexus LS sedan (www.rdforum.org: Florida testers) overall the setup looked good, slight toe out on the right head which he's going to tweak. CPU was just replaced as was his switch so this was it's maiden voyage in this configuration, we verified both heads firing via a non IR filtered camera both were working. We tested against @drtoddw 's Prolite on a flat 1500 foot course. JTG all runs, tried poking the foglights, the side mirrors and roof, got nothing on his car during the multiple runs, but got all the other passing cars no issue. The prolite is not a hard gun to jam but still even at close range I didn't find any holes... We discussed the limitations of the current setup and at some point he said he will probably upgrade to ALP or TMG, but for now he has really solid coverage against legacy guns which is the bulk of whats around here, StalkerXLR is the only harder gun in the area at the current time as far as we know. It was a good time, Juan is a nice guy to work with and hopefully he can join us next time we do a testing group in the area for some additional Lidar gun selection.

Not bad but it's quite a small car and a very easy gun. Not saying this test isn't cool just not surprised whatsoever at the result. Very old gun, simple CPR algo, that's why the 905 and LI are still very relevant in the correct locations especially when you consider they're basically free at this point.

Yep it's an expected result on a full size sedan, the setup looks good though so even against some of the harder fixed pulse rate guns I expect pretty good results. Someday I will attempt to own a harder gun, currently too expensive for my budget, gonna finish adding head to my setup before I buy lidar guns :)

thanks for helping him. he called me, said you are a great guy.
Always glad to help out a fellow member with some testing. I had a good time, and look forward to more testing opportunities in the future.

Most agencies run older guns Sponge. They have no money nor motivation to buy a new gun. I agree with you though...Blinder/LI are still very relevant for 95% of the country.

A lot of them are starting to use TSS and XLR though, those will definitely give huge issues.

Blinder should handle the TSS reasonably well, the XLR though is likely an issue.

My LI's have no issues with either of those guns. Real world and testing both have proven 8.9 defeats them.

Depends on manufacturing and update dates. All TSS's are not the same.

did you try the most current XLR against LI? I recall reading some folks here had seen some issues in the newest guns against LI's/ blinders... I really want an XLR... way too much money though

Yeah I'm not sure what the mnfgr date was on it...but I had no issues with the XLR that day nor when Corpus Christi PD shot me doing 85mph in a 65 PSL :)

Yeah the majority of guns out there are all 2-3 years old. Not many new laser gun investments.
Now low powered K Band guns are moving like free beer at 32nd street.
