Coming into this small town, I noticed a white Mercedes merging in front of me from an adjacent highway that looked to be going a pretty good speed. I was going to need a new rabbit once I got out of town again, so I ride his butt a little in the curve to see if he’d take the bait, which he did. And how.

PW: foxcam

Probably around 50-60 in a 25 based on how far he got ahead of me in that short time. RIP.

Was that 34.7 blasting from that cops car or he had a shooter somewhere closer?
Was that his dash front/rear in car antenna or do you think it was a handheld gun?

Nice save! +1 for the cooked rabbit and +1 for the scanner audio.

I've got to figure out a better mounting scheme for my 436. Do you run an external antenna?

x2, I'd like to hear about extremal antennas as well.

33.8, and I've never really seen handheld radar used in the state so I'm inclined to think it was dash-mounted, from what I could see the LEO was parked facing traffic and firing front antenna and then flipped a U-turn to pull the Benz

Yep, external antenna. Laird ABSCANC with a permanent NMO mount on the trunk lid run to my 436 on the dash with a 17ft RG58 coax and BNC connectors.

I once saw a cop in West Linn hanging out his window using a handheld K gun back when I had my Redline, right on Rosemont going East where the speed limit drops from 40 to 25.

I've just been sticking mine in the cup holder - I definitely need a better idea just so I can read the display
