    Post em up!!!!

I think without a shadow of a doubt the Valentine One coupled with JBV1 / YAV1 is the stealthiest detector you can have. (Spectre RDD issues asside)

I'm all about the stealth install of my equipment.

So far i have stealthed the 06 F150... it's on top of the rear seat on the driver side has a clear view the road over my shoulder... I've tested it, it is still blistering quick on I/O and I've gotten many 2+ mile detections... Range doesnt seem to be affected one bit. I have a concealed display on the dash and then I have the ability to do JB V1 on my cell phone.

The '15 Expedition.... tucked high and tight, I've had front seat passengers not even notice it. Runs and dark mode I use that dedicated Droid mounted on the dash there with JBV1...

And we just acquired a 2018 Ford Focus sedan...

    Screenshot_20180706-173053_Gallery.

And I'm planning install in the center headrest... it'll have a clear view out the front and back and will be completely hidden... :awesomelon: the headrest is pretty hollow with only a little bit of foam in it no metal at all... and seemingly plenty of room to house the unit. Best of all I can raise it high enough where itll be above the baby's carseat.. and that will look totally normal. ;)

I'm going to use an old S7 Edge suction cup mounted into the windshield left side drivers corner for the display..

Anyway I'd love to see pictures of others V1 stealth installs even if it's a vehicle you no longer have.

That install looks great. Thanks for sharing.

Following the same idea, has anyone tried using an Android based after market head unit to run a V1 app rather than a phone?

Yes I'm very interested in this ideas well I even looked at one for our Focus... that would be the ultimate stealth in this car nobody would ever suspect anything... I mean there wouldn't even be a phone on the dash.... :awesomelon:

@mp3moose - from researching, it looks like android stereos use another version of android called Android Auto. Basically, it has limited apps. Apps like Waze, Spotify, Pandora, etc run on it. Now, @johnboy00 could maybe code his app for android auto... I dont know. A bigger concern (to me) is bluetooth connecting the V1LE dongle to it. The stereos have BT, but its for BTing a phone to the tablet for handsfree and music. Bluetoothing a non-phone device like a V1LE may not be possible????

@johnboy00 might be able to shed some light on these android stereos for us.

Preliminary install of my Valentine One from My Expedition shows promise in this headrest install... :D

The only thing in front of either antenna is just a little bit of fabric shouldn't hurt the Reception at all.... I might be able to put a little bit of foam on either side of the detector to make the hump a little less noticeable but it's really not that bad.... everything looks like it'll be level. I think this is going to be a go... soon as I get my V1 from Infinity in the mail.

“Android stereos” run Android and can run most apps, depends on version. These in theory could pair to a V1 Dongle.

Car Stereos that support Android Auto or Car Play are limited to certain apps. And currently would be difficult to get a V1 app displaying on Android Auto. These radios typically only pair as a Bluetooth Speaker or phone Headset and nothing else. These are typically not running Android. So even if you could pair a V1 Dongle there is no V1 app that runs on the Car Radio. It’s running on the phone and the screen is basically mirrored to the car.

I dont see why the Android Auto operating system couldnt run the JBv1 app - side load etc... pairing the dongle might be tricky - prob wouldnt be able to pair your phone with it after it's connected to make calls etc.

"Android Auto" is not an OS. It's a protocol for mirroring video/audio/touch from an Android Phone.

There are some true "Android" Radios. But you'd have to do some deep digging on what the Radio will allow.

If you did manage to get a Dongle to Pair to an Android, I doubt that would interfere with phone pairing (apples and oranges).

Here's a couple of hidden V1 pics from a few days ago. I'm experimenting so I'm using some 2" wide vynil tape against the inside surface where the dots are. (Helps the suction cups stick)
I made sort of a mask to cover all the area above the V1 and to the right an inch or so.
I really had a hard time getting a pic of the V1 where I could actually see it. :D

Soon I will tint the windows a bit and have a tint strip up there. The black tape is really working well though and I will do something more permanent around the V1 and probably get rid of the suction cups.
