I was in Pine Bluff today. I was coming over RR over pass. When city officer hit me with K Band. I thought city running K band? I was running about 8 over PSL. Got on brakes and down to 4 over, He rolled on by me and kept going. Gotta start paying more attention to K Band!

I ran into K band this morning here in IL. Just outside Crystal Lake. Thought it was a BSM, turned out to be a legit cop. 24.162...

TY - Was advised could crank K to 70% in
Houston / Plano... And I’m still nervous about all those red light cameras. Too many times the light turned red on approach and I stopped instead of running it and found myself slightly over the white line.
Going to have to pay more attention to K.

A waiter I was conversing with said ‘a lot of accident happen around here because the lead car jams on their brakes to stop and not get a ticket and the car behind hits them. ‘ A $75 ticket turns into a new bumper and failure to control your vehicle & not allowing safe distance tickets for car behind.

K-band is still a viable threat in most places. In the Indy metro area and near South Bend, don't ignore X-band either!

K-band seems to be on the rise in the Johnson City / Kingsport area of TN during my last visit there. I was hit by 3 LEOs all running K within a few hours. No Ka that day at all.

K-Band all over IL, locals for me. Sheriff likes to run it too. State likes KA luckily.

Not to derail this...but...I've never heard of a ticket being issued to the person who was rear-ended. I'm sure there are rare cases but the person behind is at fault 100% for not allowing enough distance to stop, regardless of why someone hit their brakes (kids, animals, etc.).

That said, yes K-band is all over - and it makes me wonder if the Radar companies do not lurk hear reading our posts about hard annoying it is, and how much we hate it and how hard it can be to detect with filtering. I know if I ran ones of those companies I would be here and laughing to myself. I would then push my R&D towards that and really market that to different agencies.

I see just enough K band in eastern NC to be a pain in the @ss! On a brighter note, more and more state troopers are switching from 35.5 to 34.7,at least in my part of NC! As good as my R1 is on 35.5,it destroys 34.7! After following @Deadhead1971's advice and turning on TSF along with K filter and setting up advance mode to 70%,my R1 is pretty damn quiet now and hardly ever falses anymore.
