First drive today with the Beta fix. Zero warnings with switching profiles. I'll do more testing on my way to work and coming back home tonight, but so far so good :)

Happy to report zero disconnect alerts to and from work last night after switching profiles multiple times. Forward a rear radar alerts are working great. Sometimes when switching from profile C to A however, all my windows roll down and my windshield wipers start up. Just kidding :)

Looking good! Still no errors, but occasionally profile A will still get stuck in parking mode like warm up event though it is not selected

    I have the following testing...

Profile A: K-filter and traffic filter enabled
    Profile B: K-filter only enables
    Profile C: no filters enabled

I have up to date everything I've gotten disconnects consistently on Profile A but nothing with B or C.

Happy to send you whatever files you need if that is helpful.

    So my scenario on beta

    RG3 - 2x DSP and GPS antenna
Profile A: K on, MRCD on, KA on - disconnect error
Profile B: K off, MRCD on, KA on - no disconnect error

So people that are not running two dsp are not getting disconnect errors, and people that are not using K band.
One guy reporting that when he switch gps to mobile he stop getting disconnect error... Wondering if there is power issue...

Next I will try to disconnect rear antenna and run on my profile A without rear...

I just had a rear NetRadar DSP installed and I’m getting random disconnect errors on the front. Sometimes it happens 5x-6x in a ride. Other times only once. Can’t seem to put my finger on it and it never happened before.

I have KBand and MRCD enabled. I was going to have the shop that installed it check all of the connections this Wednesday as I can’t get to the front DSP without removing my bumper. I had them relocate the front when installing the rear so I’m hoping it’s just a simple connection issue. I checked all of the connections to the RG3 and they look solid.

I pulled a stats and config file yesterday if @BestRadarDetectors is interested.

If you are not running the Beta fix you will have random disconnect errors. Please just sit tight until we are ready to release the next update.

Agreed that Tom is a blessing from the RD gods! I am running the beta but unfortunately still getting front antenna disconnects when I have both front and rear DSPs connected.

Changing profiles makes no difference for me. Hopefully they figure it out soon. Went on a 30ish minute drive and had 11 disconnect messages. Between that and the k falses (city driving) I was ready to just shut it off.

On the way home I disconnected the rear antenna and didn’t have any disconnect messages so Im leaning towards it not being a wiring issue.

I may just run with the front only until they get this figured out. Anyone else on BETA FW 5.4.9 still having problems?

@Arcome What is your Firmware version?
My beta is 9.9.9. Did you do an update in ALP Connect after installing the beta by USB?

No, I put the BETA Tom sent me on a usb drive and plugged it directly into the CPU and it automatically started to update. After the update completed I noticed my FW went from 5.4.8 to 5.4.9.

I then performed a reset and reconfigured for good measure.

Mine says 5.4.9 and screenshot of the stats file is attached. Did it stop the disconnect errors for you?

Firmware Filenames are matched to CPUs, Mine is definitely 9.9.9 and the disconnects have all but stopped. The only disconnects I have encountered since upgrading were after long (approx 3-4 hr non-stop) drives, and in both cases, there was only one disconnect error.

I concur with @tphank1, and have zero issues since the beta (9.9.9).

@Arcome are you sure you don't have auto update on and it reloaded a newer firmware and not be aware? Go back and reload the Beta on a USB and try it in the CPU again...I don't think you have the correct Beta loaded.

I accidentally loaded the current firmware after I had the Beta on, thought I was screwed until official update, but I reloaded it and now back to good! I had to reload the USB because the beta was gone after loading it, look at the USB files delete any .bin file on it to make sure the beta is the only one on it.

There were several issues we are addressing. Problem mostly comes down to us trying to be very aggressive and constantly monitoring the attached equipment (Sensors, Radar Antennas, etc.) the NR & DSP are checked every second to make sure its alive and well and the antenna's every second report a "I'm alive and well" byte of data. When you enable many filters it can slow down the scan time to beyond 1 second and that "i'm alive and well" byte gets delayed because the scan is longer and its whats triggering the message even though everything is fine.

We are determining the best method to eliminate the issue and we are close. Just turning off a band or a filter speeds up the scan and it will avoid the delay.

Maybe just wait 5 seconds to get a heartbeat before timing out and throwing the error? Or 30? I mean, I guess a detector head hardware failure would be good to know, but I don’t know if the alert would really need to be measured in milliseconds.
