Many have asked me what it's like inside the cab to get a laser alert.

I have the old CPU control hardware due to testing,so the final product will alert different.

R3 was alerting too.

Thanks!

I think the test is irrelevant because your cracked windshield helps diffuse the LIDAR beam.....:D

You know what would be fun? Customizable voice alerts.

Does it say “Jenoptik or Ultralyte” in the second video because of something common between those two manufacturers? Or is it just a glitch in the announcement recording?

You have to direct hit the R3. Mine alerts 2,000+ ft.

@Jag42 Were those alerts with the built in CPU/Speaker (which you mentioned were old verisions of the hardware), or with an external speaker?
After reading Sarge’s proposed packages with an external speaker being optional, I was just trying to determine how audible the built in speaker is for alerts.

Is it just me or does the alerts on the TMG system seem much too calm and quiet compared to ALP? By the sounds in the video, it seems like if someone had their music at a medium volume, those alerts aren’t going to be very attention grabbing.

That definitely needs an external speaker.

Just my personal preference here, I prefer the loud and annoying buzzing sound the ALP makes depending on what gun is being used over the TMG “bleep bleep” tone.

It is LOUD by itself as it is.Jag had it turned waaaaay down.
Also we changed the alert sequence since then. Now it Alarms/Identifies/Alarms....I find it annoying as hell...I would rather french kiss Maxine Waters than listen to that damn thing alarming. Well....mebbe not that bad....

If I remember right, I think the volume was turned way down in that video.

agreed. that chick is way too calm. wife will never slow to that. it needs to scream "oh, ****!" "hit your brakes!" "children playing in the road!" for the wife to adequately respond....

on second thought... @The Only Sarge - can we add in a module that just applies her brakes at 100% for 4 seconds?

ill pay extra....:mmmhmm:

along with auto braking add auto off based on actual speed vs PSL instead of timer delay.

Must be made in Britain. All those 1970's bands from the isle had amps that went to 11.

Hopefully, Lucas has nothing to do with the electronics on the Alpha-15. If you are not in to British cars, you won't understand.
