RabbitMan got popped in spite of all the counter measures.

An XPO logistics truck driver called and about 10 miles later leo was sitting waiting (in a good spot) with his radar turned off. Needless to say, everything went from silence to full alert in one second. I stomped on the brakes so hard the anti lock light came on, and got down to 91 before he got a read …. sucks. The fine in Marion country Tx is 260 bucks for 21 over and the fee for paying w a credit card is 6.50.

It happens. With all the best CMs in the world, you can still get nabbed by I/O and an officer in a great hiding spot. Happened to me back in May in a small town on the AR/LA border. Still don't know where that LEO was hiding! 50/35.:(

Yeah I'm not too salty about it. In a way I wanted to congratulate the officer. He was doing his job properly.
I am not happy with XPO though...Prick.

How do you know he turned you in?
I guess I don't know with 100% certainty, but we were out in the middle of nowhere and I caught up to him in no time at all, as I approached him he swerved over into the left lane then swerved back. He was just trying to jack me around, and make me stomp on the brakes. It was maybe ten minutes later I came up on leo, and we were in the middle of nowhere, and in the middle of the night. So the officer was either out there sleeping or he parked and waited for me to come by. Ive been through this before. It was too perfect for this to have been a random occurrence.

I think it was just a coincidence. if you were in the middle of nowhere I don't see how he could have called you in and an LEO get set up in 10 minutes.
It could be.
I know for certain the trucker was not happy with the speed at which I caught up to him. Honestly though I hope you are right.

Sometimes you get the bear, sometimes the bear gets you. Its just the way it is!!

I'll bet you you're still on the winning side of the ledger though!!

I don't really see how he could call in on you and 10 minutes later an officer has time to be set up in just the right place to hit you with IO like that. Things don't happen that fast on such a low priority call like a speeding car or truck. If anything he tried to warn you by slowing you down. Maybe he had WAZE or another driver 8 miles ahead of both of you put out the bear report on channel 19 that he heard.

they have CB radios, he may have known that the leo was there and did that to warn you / slow you down so you didn’t get a ticket.

or he was angry you were speeding, cut you off to make you slam on your brakes as you said.

don’t pass trucks at too high of speeds because of wind sheer. thats a golden rule of flying on the pavement, pass others slower! maybe he was afraid of that.

Michigan is one of the last states not to be a part of the Drivers license compact
Meaning you can pay the Texas ticket and they dont exchange point or violation info with Michigan

And their not a member of the Non resident violator compact
Meaning you could stiff Texas on the ticket and Michigan won't suspend you

You just couldn't drive in Texas

You have won the lotto essentially in drivers licenses and places to get knocked off

Rule #1
Never speed in your home state
