Just wondering if the V1 has that capability
Redline Pro A, Stir+ International , Radenso, Redline EX , Stinger and a few others....
The list is short but distinguished.
Thanks. Nobody would answer that question on a previous thread.
R1/R3 soon to

I actually called and asked Valentine One this last week
Yes it does detect that
You have to turn off the junk filter.
Oh, that's not good.
I think that by the time we see these systems in the U.S. in any kind of substantial numbers, we will be talking about a whole new generation of detectors.
That's the accurate statement, V1's Junk-K Fighter filters out those threats.
The V1 won't detect it far enough in advance to give you a save , even if junk K is off.
www.valentine1.com: Valentine One Radar Detector Euro Mode
According to the V1 website below; note the second paragraph:
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT V1’s EURO MODE
Euro Mode narrows and intensifies V1’s radar coverage to the frequencies used in Europe and some other countries for photo radar. It is not intended for operation in the U.S.
Improved Euro Mode starts with V1 serial numbers ending in 1179; it widens K-band coverage to 23.900-24.250GHz from the previous 24.050-24.250GHz. This change is to assure coverage of the new Multaradar being used abroad.
Both of these modes are installed at the factory but must be activated by the user when needed. For activation instructions, see How to program V1.

Nice to know my 3.893 with no Junk-K Fighter will detect MRCD/MRCT.
Yes but probably not useful at all.
A drive with any traffic will quickly start to drive you insane with all the falsing.

It's still not enough for a save. Most of the benefits the V1 can gain are from using the vertical mount they've used in EU for years.
If you're running Euro mode and horizontal ( standard orientation) you'll barely get enough warning to slow and even if you do, the camera likely already got you.
The AU/NZ/EU guys know what the V1 can and can not do. @winterbrew
Even it detects in time... It doesn't announce it, that makes it useless...
People that drive in Edmonton will know why = speed signs on almost every street = ignoring real signal, or locking it = ticket in the mailbox...
Some interesting MRCD testing results here: https://www.rdforum.org/index.php?threads/52558/
So it looks like the V1 can detect MRCD, but it would not be feasible to use if MRCD was a threat. I think the biggest issue is the lack of a separate MRCD alert, because otherwise you'd have to take every K alert seriously and react immediately.
Vertical mount? This new to me. I thought straight and (horizontally) level are key to good performance.
With Junk K fighter off
That would be fun
