He must have thought his gun was broke so he painted me again when I got closer. :)

Yeah phone and speakers. There's a delay between the two.

They shot you from pretty far out. What do you think the distance was?

Looks like you paid for your ALP system pretty quick.

Looking at google maps and measuring distance based off of the video where I first was shot and where they were sitting, it's about 2800ft/850m. So a good half mile away. I believe normal for an XLR is 2500ft and max is >9,999ft according to their website.

It's coming close. And for a system that was never tested, I'm pretty sure I installed the sensors correctly...at least correct enough to beat an XLR. I'm not sure how it'd fair against a dragon slayer.

If you look at the pic grab, you can see that both cops are shooting. Lucky save.

Thanks for pointing that out thought, but there's no real benefit of knowing two could be shooting me at the same time, especially from a half mile away. I'm sure one is designated for the inside lane and the other for the outside lane.

Isn’t there a maximum legal distance they’re allowed to clock a vehicle and beyond that the ticket can be tossed? Not like the courts would care but just curious.

Remember, any normal person would not even know they're being painted so how could they even know/argue what distance they were shot from?

Right but if there is a legal limit what is it? I think I remember 750’ but not sure if that was just for radar.

Awesome video. That was impressive distance. I wasn't expecting them to be that far off.

Different for each jurisdiction. I think CA is <1000 ft

There may be, but, once again, how are you going to prove where exactly you were first shot relative to them?

And it just kind of sounds silly to say "I detected you shot me way back there but you aren't allowed to... it's too far away!"

You have to be really careful not to poke the bear
