Good idea in theory. Most states have laws about such covers. I’m my opinion it simply makes your vehicle stand out which will make you a higher target for being pulled over.

I like to drive a car that is boring and blends in every way. No stickers, personalized plates, simple color, etc...... I can drive my simple boring car at 85 and the red mustang that I passed gets pulled over for doing 80 (this actually happened once).

Are you driving out of State ? I'm not aware of any cameras in MI. Also your R3 would alert to those if you need the protection.

waze also has most of them marked so you should get alerts from at least one of those protections. the plate covers are not legal in a lot of area's and will get you stopped in some places and other area's they don't enforce them. No photo is another option, but depending on what system they are using the no photo may not work, if they are saving the raw image data they can correct the over exposiure from the nophoto and read the plate... there is no perfect solution. if it's a speed camera thats Laser based ALP will give you enough warning, if it's anything other than redflex the R3 can probably detect it ( especially once the MRCD stuff is worked out.)

    I’m hoping rust works LOL.
My daily ride is 10 yrs old, the plates are severely rusted... and they are bringing back the cameras in Ohio.

It’s ALL about the money $

Do what I do.Find a heavy coat your old lady dont want anymore or get a 3.00 one from a thrift store, . Shut the trunk and let the sleeve/arm hang to block the plate while driving. I add a little sand inside and stich it back up so it dont move much for highway use. Police don't ever bother me. Use a color similiar to your car if you want to sweeten the pot.
