It looks like they're using "new" v9.0 heads. No word on any CPU changes yet though. Wasn't it the CPU that was the limiting factor in handling the DragonEye guns, not the heads? I wonder what makes these special.

I found some info here about the changes with the 9.0 heads

Our New Ver. 9.0 Sensors Feature:

- A New Proprietary German designed 115W Pulsed Laser Diode vs the previous 75W that utilizes a new metal housing and is more powerful and robust allowing for better Jamming specifically against the newer high frequency LIDARs such as the new LTI TruSpeed S and future Higher Frequency LIDARs.

- New PCB design Architecture provides better stability especially in temperature extremes.

- New sensor cable with Mini DIN connector 1 meter from the sensor for easier and faster installation and removal especially for vehicles for which routine maintenance requires the removal of the bumper(s).

- New shielded cable type that provides faster signal response time (less signal delay via increased velocity factor) over the previous CAT5 cable and has greatly enhanced Anti-Interference (EMI, RFI) characteristics.

- A New BMW Vertical Sensor Model with the Laser Diode mounted vertically so the beam shape is horizontal when vertically mounted for those with vehicles that use vertical grill configurations specifically, BMW, but also for Lincoln, Buick etc.

There's nothing that really catches my eye here. Maybe you guys are seeing something?

Hmmm wondering if this is same housing that TMG uses... :D

as with anything, we will have to test them... just cause they claim to Jam the DE doesn't mean they can jam all of them... will require some solid testing to know for sure. either way if they have indeed gotten a solid means of defeating all guns it will be good to have another player in the game

Yep, lets see what they can do, even if they aren't going to be the top of the game again if they bring a reasonable product to the table and add competition to the market then we all win.

aaaaand it looks like the info about the 9.0 heads that I posted earlier has been pulled, haha. I wonder what other changes (if any) we'll see once it's ready to launch.

I think "somebody" is just messing around with their website today. Getting it ready but not ready to announce/price anything right now.

But just a wild ass guess from an old man. Take it or leave it.

The site mentioned firmware version 8.16a which is kind of strange since the current is 8.20. We'll see in the future what's really going on.

If it's slightly improved that's all they need. They're still the second best jammers on the market (if you ignore escort's stolen/patent violating jammers) and they could have been made much better if firmware was kept up to date. The hardware isn't bad.

Is there any difference between 8.16a and 8.16alpha?
The 8.16 a , meaning the a meant alpha. I see the information is down off the site at the moment. Was it cliff or ivan that made these?

I am amazed at how you guys hunt every website looking for any minor change. Laser Interceptor 9.0 heads were released in 2013-2014 and my guess is Cliff is just rebuilding the LI site after the Stinger fallout and some old pages were not taken down.
