Did some research recently; those Samsung cards seemed to be designed for 'storage', and not 'multiple reads/writes'. Basically, I was under the impression that the samsung evo micro SD cards would fail way sooner than something like transcend. (think it has to do with the technology used inside the card). I'll try and find the article/info if you're interested, but it seems you have been using them in your A119s for ...some time I guess. Maybe it was an issue with BlackVue specifically; I'll do some digging.

(for the record, I bought that exact one a few months ago, but haven't used it since I saw the article right after I bought it, then bought a BlackVue one. lol)

Here is one of the articles:
dashcambros.com: Best SD Cards for BlackVue Dash Cams

Basically, the gist of the article is that 'super fast' micro SD cards (transfer rate) aren't designed for constant read/write activity, but rather more casual uses like transferring files from PC to smartphone, which happens much less often then a dashcam writes to the cards. It does state that these cards do indeed work, but their failure rate in dashcams tends to be a bit higher than others. Take this with a grain of salt, just throwing it out there.

Yeah I’ve been running one in my DR900S and it’s been fine so far.

I can’t speak for its reliability though. I did cheap out with hard drives for my NAS and just had a desktop drive fail in 4 months when used in a NAS som there’s something to be said for storage mediums specifically designed for constant usage, but yeah. The card is definitely cheap!

I tried that card on my Blackvue 650s 2ch IR and it kept failing after about an hour or two of use. I can't remember the warning it gave me, something like "check SD card" I think. Tried reformatting it with the Blackvue and still the same thing after about 2 hours or so. Went back to my 64GB Lexar 633x.

Edit: Correction its a 64GB Lexar 633x not x600. Fixed above.

I tried the exact Samsung card in my 650S as well and it was a miserable fail. I constantly got the "check SD card" message and the camera would constantly restart. Bought a Blackvue 64g card and now it's flawless.

You had to format the card with BlackVue viewer. Mine had that problem when I installed it but as soon as I formatted with the blackvue viewer on the PC, it worked like a charm.

I did a full format on my PC twice and then did a format using blackvue but it didn't matter. The problem returned after a short period of time.

@Vortex uses Samsung Select and it works for him.
I use Samsung EVO Plus 128gb and it works well also.

Not sure why for you it is not working. Did you use BlackvVue Viewer (the software they give to watch the video from your SD card)

Yes, according to the dashcam store and blackvue the bv cameras tend to have issues once you go above 64g. Sometimes they're fine but they hear about it often.
