I would like to have the answer . I always heard to avoid reflection from nearby shiny parts ?

Perhaps the solution is in the testing ?

Is it easy to move ?

Always make sure your heads are protruding at least 1/8". Generally speaking, the further out they are the less chance you have of catching reflections off of body parts.

Do you think changing the "chromed" reflective part of the front and back in black, it would make a huge difference?

Jesus I was struggling for those 150ft lol.

I can get PI but it is a very specific spot, on the top right corner of my head light driver side. You have to aim literally almost outside of the car.

as i said in an earlier post, hell yeah, including your frame.

testers have said it doesn’t make much of a difference on modern lidar detectors, they are too good. i remember back in the days, a black vet was harder to get a reading on with no sensors than a regular car with no sensors. could have also been the shape and size as well.

the only way to know as eloi said is to test. my physics says your too shiny though. black as a color absorbs light.

I wouldn't bother with it. Your car shouldn't be hard to get to JTG at all. I can get a speed reading off of pretty much anything with a new gun

Like a person jogging down the street. They don't have anything reflective on and I can get a reading. I'd try to move them forward before you deface your vehicle :p

    LOL!
Yeah I will move them a bit forward and closer. Like I said they are 31inches apart. I will bring them 22-24inches close.

32" is a lot. Mine are 18" apart inside to inside. Our vehicles are actually pretty similar in size

definitely the common sense thing to do. for the record, i did say it doesnt matter to modern lidars! however, older lidars could not do that!

Woah 18" inside to inside? Does it cover your headlights and extremities of both side of the car?

Yup. I can't get PT's anywhere. The front of my car is 62"x20"

Sorry I'm actually 20" inside to inside, just measured

I measured and If i put them 24' away from each other, inside to inside, i have more then 12' from the edge of my car to the sensors. around 19" which means 19-12, I will have 7" not covered.

Does this calculation really apply? or usually they cover more then that?
