is the whistler cr 95 old our new radar because it’s on its website
Looks like the new detectors are showing up now. No mention of GPS so the CR95 must be the successor to the CR88 and the CR97 that @Jag42 mentioned earlier must be the CR93 replacement.
whistlergroup.com: CR95 Bilingual Laser Radar Detector (ENG/SPANISH)
Note, I've moved this thread to the Whistler section and changed the thread title to something more informative.
@Jag42 Has TXCTG done any testing yet?
This model also features Whistler's FDSR (Field Disturbance Sensor Rejection), the most recent advancement to combat new vehicles equipped with Frequency-Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) K band blind spot and collision avoidance devices that clutter nearly all of K band causing a normal radar detector to alert continuously.
Ka Max Mode
Nope, waiting on one to test from Mike B.
Until I see what it does on the Bergheim Curve it aint real. @whistler get a test unit to the guys.
I am really curious about the K Band filtering. I suspect V1 range minimum. Retail about $150'ish do DFR6 price range.
I can't wait to see the results of the testing! I have always loved whistlers and want to replace my CR85 with the new CR95, although the CR85 is still kicking @ss in Jane's car.If it works as good as they claim,it will be perfect for her! That would be great since it's hardwired and on a perm. Ebay mount!
It will be interesting to see what this unit can do. The last Whistler I had was a Spectrum 2!!
Hopefully it will be a capable detector. Time will tell.
