Hey all,

I'll be updating this thread throughout the day/week. Now that I'm back in my apartment for good (finally :argh:) we'll be full speed with various updates/etc as far as RDF/RDFNET/related is concerned.

Just an FYI, in case anyone was wondering where we just went, I just brought down the forum for about 15 minutes to do a full disk backup. All done. It's good to see people are starting to use the media hosting for the site! About a 40GB increase in space used since our last backup just from media (RDF-hosted images/videos only) alone.

More to follow!

@xydrine
While you're at it, is it possible (and hopefully not too complicated) to change the chat entry window's location?

At least on my phone it covers up the last two messages. And then I have to read half a line at a time of the last message in between the tiny space at the bottom of the screen between the chat window and chat entry window.

Even if the entry window was in the middle of the chat window it would be fine because you can scroll past it in either direction to see the chat text.

I'm using a Pixel 2 XL with the latest version of Android.

Take a look at the chatbox settings:

You may need to view desktop site to see the settings button. Play around with those settings and let me know if anything in there is acceptable for what you want.

Thanks! I never saw that. It seems like placing the editor at the top might work for me. I'll give it a try!

Actually it only works until I click in the editor and my keyboard shows up. After my keyboard goes away again whether it's on the top or the bottom I lose the bottom messages.

Reversing the direction of the messages does work for me though.

What would you prefer me do to make it better for you, if anything extra is needed at this point...? I will add it to the to-do list if needed.

It seems like it would be an undue PITA for you really since reversing the direction of messages works ok for me. I'm not sure if others are having the same issue? I do a little Dev work myself for my company's internal web app and I know how something really small can end up to be a huge pain to fix, especially with the different browsers, phone brands and screen shapes or resolutions.

If you want to add it to you list though....
It seems like when it is set to display the editor window on the bottom of the screen, it hides about 1/4" of the scroll-able chat window. When I switch the editor window to appear on the top, the bottom of the screen seems to jump up about 1/4" after my touch keyboard appears. After the keyboard hides again, the screen stays that way.

I have an idea, would you mind spinning up photoshop, taking a screenshot of the browser with the chat window (even if it's just only the bar that you want changed), and modifying the screenshot to the way you wish it looked instead of the way it is now...? If you do that I can think of some ideas on how to get it that way/similar to what you're trying to accomplish with possibly minimal coding/redesign. I don't mind doing stuff like this before certain other things if it's not going to be a huge time investment. Showing me via photoshop like this would be the easiest way for me to know exactly what you're looking for.

I don't have Photoshop anymore. I'm using a rapid development software (Alpha Aywhere) these days for our app. I suck at UI design so that software does that for me so i can concentrate on the nuts and bolts. I'm much more comfortable with code and you still need it all the time even with the software but at least it gets you started fast. Anyway, I'll see if I can work something up. Basically though, to try to explain it in words, if the editor window just stayed docked at the bottom of the phone screen and the chat window stayed docked to the top of the editor window so it would never hide messages inside the chat window it would be fine.

Neither do I actually, more of a catchall for a photo editor these days. Online Photo Editor | Photopea works. Okay I'm going to bring up the site with my phone and play around with what I think you're talkin' about.

On iPhone the display is abbreviated in portrait mode but when I flip to landscape more info shows up. It’s just the way it is. Landscape is more closer to desktop without using a desktop
