If a k band gun is 24.198,24.200 in my area I can't use this correct?

This update improves false alerts and GPS lockouts. We also added a feature for K band called "K SNarrow" (only scans for 24.090 ~ 24.185 signals).

No problems updating two of my Pro SE's. took longer to get them out of the cars than the update took. I'm looking forward to the silence!!

For those who have updated -- What has been your experience thus far? It is a bit soon, but some may have put in quite a bit of windshield time.

    *Edit*
Since there doesn't look like there's going to be 3rd party testing anytime soon, I guess I'll just have to update the RD, and give my 2 cents about what I experience.

So it seems, Hot and New gets the attention.
Discontinued and obsolete gets no Luv-in LOL.
I’ve got an idea... don’t have a RD Gun but have a lot of stores that will set off K & X.
Can get a signal strength and then upgrade using hot spot in car and compare before and after.

When I updated .. I set it to K SNarrow. . took unit out to test in town. .. I drove past all my known false alert areas. . only one alert that I got on K that I locked out...had a couple 34.7 alerts. . one alert was a full 9 blast the other 2 had a ramp up but went away quickly.. it was really really quiet. so with K SNarrow on don't really need lockouts.. but in my area there is no K band. . just KA. so I don't know about areas that use K band if its safe to use K SNarrow.

Mines been really quiet in the shoe box too. What I’m interested in is do we still have ‘Redline’ performance? We usually put new FW through paces / verification after a major update regardless of mfg.

Good man. This is exactly how 3rd party testing gets accomplished. People step up to the plate to contribute and share their experiences. This is a collaborative effort. Thank you. :)

Great Idea and I will keep track of it but alas I am no longer driving cross country in this commuter car, currently I am stuck in the beltway hell so not as good of an info as I could have given in the past but I will keep it updated.

For those who are having issues make certain that you are using a proper data cable, the guage matters, the 3rd party USB cables come in 2 types....data and power....the power can take more miliamps and it's what makes the difference....the data relies on external power to power the unit (chepo $4 cables). You really can't tell which is which, I just use my Western Digital USB cable that comes with my external USB HD and it works wonders (I lost the Radenso cable in the move).

Also (I am guilty myself) but please keep in mind that 3rd party testing considers reporting positive and negative values so don't just complain about stuff but also praise when a praise is due.

I went ahead and took the new firmware out for a spin, and so far am pleased.

A few miles of highway driving and no Semi CAS alerts which is good. A LOT more highway driving will need to be done, but so far we are off to a good start.
Ran 5 times against a k band speed sign. This really isn't a good test, but is still interesting.
1 Run with TSR off, and the sign was picked up a long ways away. The signal started out as a 2 and slowly ramped up to a 9 which is desirable.
4 Runs with TSR Low, and 2 times no alert, and 2 times the detector did alert as I approached the sign. Of the two times where it did alert, 1 time k band showed a 1 in signal strength, and the other time showed as a 4.

As I ran round town, I had 1 k band alert, but I didn't drive back by to see if it was persistent or not.

I'll have some highway driving to do tomorrow, and will report back the findings. Hopefully, it will be a quiet ride, and get to the point where I can start paying attention to K band alerts instead of just ignoring many of them.

Before flashing went to a shopping center and parked acrossed the street from the stores.
Was getting a solid K3 which was bouncing from 2 to 4 when traffic stacked up in the street in front of me when the light was red. Then I flashed up. The solid 3 was alternating between 3 and 4 after the flash. When cars stacked up was seeing 2 to 5 with an occasional 6. Filters were off in Highway mode. Did a factory reset and reset all lockouts and user marks after flashing...
My impression is its a little hotter on K. While I was testing the sun went down and it got cooler.
Now sure how to factor that fact into the equation....

    IMG_9946.JPG
Drove around looking for a legitimate KA source and wasn't successful in finding one.

Then went to the walgreens that drives the 950 and R3 crazy with X band.
Don't remember the ProSE ever making a sound @ walgreens with older versions and same holds true with 22.
    IMG_9949.JPG
The only thing I can think of is that either Radenso's are stone cold deaf to X or Radenso has a much better X filter than Uniden. Picture below shows no reaction:
    IMG_9950.JPG

Tomorrow I'll take it to work with me and see if it still goes off in the same places that the R3 falses.
And I'll see if it still goes nuts with every semi (Filter on or off)

Just an update on my commute today. Ok 10 out of 10 times I receive a K alert when driving past few specific locations on a street (no stores, just residential); today with the new update and K SNarrow I had no K alerts....quietest ride ever, I actually had to check if the detector was on (since I have it on full dark).

I don't know how much the Pro M and SE over sweeps... so to be safe IMO I would run only K Narrow or K Wide...

5/17/18 AM trip. Had to turn on K filter with in 6 min of hitting freeway. Was screaming K9 at every truck I passed. Quieted down nicely with filter on low. Even saw some x falses so I know it reacting to X.
With filter on didn’t have to lock out most known shopping ctr and business K noise R3 reacts to w/o filter.

My ride in this morning with K TSR on Low, I'm still getting Semi K band alerts. There's a lot more driving that still needs to be done.

Doing some highway driving on the way home, and 3 UPS trucks passed me, and not a peep out of the RD. UPS trucks are some of the biggest offenders when it comes to K band false positives. Still there' s a lot of driving to do, and will keep an eye out for UPS trucks because maybe those are now under control.

UPDATE on the commute back...I have changed the K to WIDE but kept the K FIlter Low (like I had been in the past few months) and yeap whatever filtering they have added has actually worked against those residential K falses even with K Wide. SO KUDOS.

Tomorrow I will drive to Quantico so finally some I-95 time...will let you all know of the results. (I drive with this ****er onto bases, so far no base LEO has pulled me over, although I turn it off at the gate but turn it back on past the gate (got a toggle switch wired)).
