I'll put South Texas up against Australia summers any day :)
During summer here we go to the golf course to watch Yankees spontaneously combust cuz they dont have the sense to get out of the 108f heat.
Manufacturer is still in Beta......just getting started on the TraffiStar and PoliScan threat in the EU/Australia

Looks like (first pass) the TMG heads may have an advantage with rear shots from PoliScan.
    Just an first slap observation.

We have some Poliscan In the US too, MD and RI both have them so it will be useful to have them solved for this market as well

Yeah I was told that.......we got the data on both....looks like the TraffiStar is lower powered than the Poliscan.....but the patterns are not all that different....if I get permission I'll post some shots of that data....

No humidity in my state. Dry as. Your skin burns in 15min and starts to go pink. I live in the dryest state in Australia where people have been able to cook a steak in an alfoil tray on the car dash. (We also live under the ozone hole in the atmosphere and probably Nz does also but colder climate). Testing aside tho, and I did read the arguments a few pages back, which I have no issue with as I'm new to the game so don't really have a say in other brands to compare. So I've a clean slate when it comes to laser defence. :) Ain't no arguing here unless it's with police. Here's the news article on cooking steak in Australia. We don't really need a BBQ haha! As you can see the dash temp on the thermometer hit 80C. Jump in your leather seated car with shorts on and feel the burn on you legs instantly. Usually if you've not parked in the shade, you have to evacuate the hot air first buy winding the windows down, then wind them up and run the air con for a good 10min at least before feeling comfortable for your drive. Sunshades help alot here. Any shade helps. I'm thinking the aircraft metal cases you guys are talking about might need heatsinks in my opinion. That's just Australia though....

Sorta hard to tell...but you can see the taller spikes with PoliScan and lower spikes with TraffiStar
    thus my lower power comment.

In Texas we just go get a steer out from under the shade tree and walk him across the pasture in the sun to the dinner table. By the time we get there he is a nice medium with hot pink center....

Yeah totally agree. Texas would be great heat testing. Humidity is one thing, dry heat is a whole nother story. My state is strange as it's south but is dry heat compared to northern states that cop the humidity. Humidity sucks too. Can't win either way haha. That's why Texas folk wear them big hats innit!? And Mexicans wear the sombrero ...

If you walked out the shade to your steak in the sun in Australia, it would be cooked but the flys would have beat you to it already...
Yes... The topic.... Where's my laser jammer then? Or when is Australia's set-up due should I ask? Don't think traffistar and poliscan used in my state.

I also noticed with my highly untrained eye the PoliScan beam is rather narrow compared to others....
As for schedules...we are not there yet....let us get through the Beta test. See where everybody is at.

And actually I stand corrected somewhat. Apparently traffipax is or was used in S. A. But I was updated by a user here and it did not state traffipax so unsure on that. (Unsure on most things, I am not a cop) .
Sorry for the other insignificant info (most of my posts haha!). Other states are different to mine bear in mind....

My favorite lookup table is the brake lights of the cars way ahead of me. I can read that random algorithm all day long. Laser units transmit data through infrared light from one lense and laser receivers look for the same signal to return to the other lense at a different speed than what was released from the transmitter end. If a jammer returns that signal/image extremely corrupted or overpowering, the laser gun gets a jam code, even the almighty det is not exempt from this rule and none can ever be. If only some of the image is blurred/ distorted to a degree, the gun is simply confused and will not display a reading. Hence a smart jammer is a digital laser repeater and totally new platform from the listen to only what I know jammer.

The ALP is a the gold standard for sure. I don't think anyone has had buyer's remorse for owing it.

The TMG could still be many months away from actual market.

Have they got FCC approval? Is there a local/North American distributor? Warranty? Support?

Lots of products have gotten into testers hands but have taken ages to get to market.

Jammers are definitely a niche product but really hoping it's going to be a great product.

FCC approval for what? The BT? Yes, why do you care about the FCC your in Canada? Actually it is a global license.
    Manufacturer is talking to distributors.
Warranty /Support has been discussed ad nauseam....but Distributor support with 2-3 year factory warranty on components.
