I was tooling down the road this evening when A cop popped up on my Waze well before alert distance. I slowed down and was checking to see when he was reported (3 minutes ago) so since I wasn't centered on the screen, no audio alert.

He must have been waiting for the red car (me) before using his 35.5 I/O. Without a rabbit and with the alert I was running almost the PSL. Wouldn't want to run under it and make him suspicious....LOL

Don't mind me complaining about not receiving the Waze alert....I hadn't realized I hadn't re-centered at the time.

FF to after 1:45

Nice save, this is exactly why security in layers is so important, if you had been relying on only the RD you would have been toast.

I think he may have still been getting situated or had noticed he was already pinned on Waze because he started moving while I was passing him. I thought he was going to pull out for a second but he was shimmying around in the turnaround. Maybe he wasn't aimed well enough for his liking. I guess I could have been his first test shot. Who knows what he did after I went past.

But yeah, this guy is crafty. I'm pretty sure I've been hit by him before as I note their exact frequencies and it's almost always instant on. Actually I think this is the guy that lit me up as i was sitting at a traffic light one day just to see my radar detector go off as he was sitting right next to me. I guess he might have actually been trying to nail a speeder but it seemed kind of suspect.
