Can V1Driver be setup to only mute sources that I previously manually set? How do i set it up this way? Basically just want Manual Lockouts/Mutes.

I don't want anything automatically muting anything or learning anything.

I have no experience in this but documentation states that a 2 finger right swipe creates a lockout. Instead of disabling learning, perhaps setting a high count would accumulate data you may later decide to use but should delay creation of lockouts.

@HeartDoctor That's really what I should've asked. According to the docs you can definitely set Manual mutes, I guess my question should be how to turn off Auto learn. I thought of increasing the count but I would think there is a way to just turn it off. Can anyone confirm?

The only reason why I haven't downloaded the app yet is I can't find anything on disabling Auto Learn completely. If I can just set it up to auto mute sources I manually set, then I would love to use this app.

Auto learn is easily turned off by band in settings. In my experience, you should consider using auto learning. If you set the number high enough you could review the data before lockouts are set and perhaps you will be persuaded (or not). At least, you’ll have a better basis for your decision.

So you're saying I can toggle all of the GPS Mute Bands 'off' and it will still allow me to Manually Mute?

EDIT: allow me to 'set' a Manual Mute?

Perfect. I was looking at older settings (see pic below) I guess, and it used to be called GPS Mute Learn... So thats why I wasn't sure if I turned the bands off it would still allow me to set a manual mute, since its still GPS related. Now that its called Auto Learn it is much clearer, at least to me. Thanks guys

EDIT: You guys beat me to it on the picture.

You should take @HeartDoctor advice. It's really a bad idea in my opinion to manually lockout. Manual lockout is really only there as backup if Auto lockouts fail to work or you are impatient ;)

You lose frequency drift handling, you lose auto tolerancing, you lose auto removal (most important) and you increase the odds of locking out a real LEO by doing it manually.

Nobody talks about manual only locking for good reason. But the option is there front and center and there is probably a dozen postings of this page of settings.

You can control Auto Mute (Snooze) by Band, Savvy by Band and GPS Locking by Band.

You can also manually drop "White Area" Pins to prevent an area from getting auto locked out (like Police Stations and Favorite Traps).

Things change constantly. I have 274 "gpsMute" pins and even more than that were later "demoted", about 100 that are "learning" and 3000 in total. Do you really want to do that all manually? And I don't consider myself a big driver.

You can monitor every single thing it does, in real time or any time later, and modify it if you wish.

Yeah I trimmed down the name, same thing. Keep in mind it turns off "Learn-ING". If you already had learned pins it does not ignore them when you turn that off. It just shuts off creating new ones.
If you don't want ones you've learned, delete them.

I just downloaded the app and set it up, so it hasn't learned anything yet :) I was just waiting on this clarification before downloading. Now I have it though. and can't wait to drive home from work in 5 minutes!

We discussed my stance on autolearn in another thread... I definitely like your iteration of it more than any others. But once you've been burned its hard to go back. As a 20yr RD user I know where to manually lockout and have next to zero risk. We'll see how it goes.

Great. Good luck, you'll need it, just kidding. Try to resist manually locking out and let it do it's thing. Also try the default settings at first before you twiddle.
And try not to veer to far off from the defaults. Like change it from 3 occurrences to 30, or a radius from 650 to 20 feet. I can't test every combination and lot of features work in concert with each other.

Suggestion: Why not let the app learn (which takes at least 3 days before creating a lock out) and review the new pins daily. If it creates a lockout you don’t agree with, delete it.

That’s exactly the intent of the app so each user can build up their own confidence, including the developer.

It can get a little complicated on its choices when things get busy. But when in doubt I always lean towards “unmute”.

I understand how your muting works and I do love the idea, seems much less riskier than other lockout implementations, I just prefer manual to auto as you know from our other convo. I have the app setup now the way I like it and the ride home went great. I’m not using any learning for now except for laser alert at my daily toll booth. There is only a few of the default settings I changed in the Auto Mute & Snooze, Savvy, and Dark Mode Settings. Really like this app so far.
