Before V1Driver got the k-band bar, I was using muting for k-band outside the box. I disabled that so I could see the full spectrum on the bar.

Until yesterday, I'd NEVER seen a k-band alert below 24.085 that was legit.

It was a Tulsa County Sheriff's Tahoe. It's made me pay a little more attention to BSM's now, grrr.

K-band box and Spectrum Display are separate items. Out of box and even beyond spectrum display signals are reported. Your discovery, if it becomes common, may force us to widen our K boxes and deal with more BSM triggering. :aaaaa:

You explained what I was trying to say better than I did.

On a separate note, I was near a bank with a 24.133 k band GPSmute when a police car from a neighboring town rolled up running exactly 24.133 k-band radar. I'll have to watch the bogey counter whenever I see a 24.133 GPSmute from now on.
Luckily I don't have any GPSmutes that are as strong as real police radar.

Uncertain whether the bogey counter will correctly indicate multiple signals if the frequency is the same. Let us know if it happens.

Will do. It may not happen though because it was a police car that was from a different city.

Question. Can Android app for V1 be setup to do custom sweeps on K band like it has custom sweeps on Ka band? I guess my question is if there is K band segmentation of sort in android version of V1 app?

There isn't K band segmentation, but you can set the K Band "in Box Range". Anything outside that range is immediately muted.

Thank you. Any plans on adding K band Custom Sweeps or is that not an option to do?

Not an option. But since K band is so narrow compared to Ka band, box muting is pretty much the same thing.

I have outside 24.050-24.200 muted, and combined with the K muting logic built in to the V1 it keeps things dead quiet.

I was hit with K Band in Daytona Beach, FL. My Passport 9500IX alerted - While the V1 was silent.

So much for never use 2 RD's same time advise. I am pretty upset why the V1 did not alert. I am assuming the radar gun was old.

I was hit with another K band from a cop hiding behind a KA band speed sign. Very weird. The Cop at K BAND. The Sign was KA Band,. He was waiting for people to speed up after seeing the "your speed is" sign. First time I ever saw a cop do this setup before.

Post all your settings on V1. In particular what was K-Mute?

You in Euro mode?

That’s pretty close to the edge of USA K range. Who’s to say if 9500ix might be off a bit too.

Who’s to say V1 wasn’t busy trying to deal with interference from 9500ix.

Send V1 in for a check up. I ran 2 9500ix for years. Fine detector in it’s day but I’d rather be behind a V1 any day. 9500ix has zero filtering on K and in my opinion unusable on K band these days.

Almost anything on the road is hard to prove without a controlled test. V1 has a much better track record than a 9500ix.

V1 is broken (it can happen), it was out of spec and V1 did the right thing and 9500ix did not, it was BSM and V1 filtered it and 9500ix should have and didn’t (can’t). K-Mute setting suppressed it (K-Mute settings are not without risk and many users don’t know how to set them and set them to aggressive). 9500ix was impacting V1 performance.

You’d need to test a whole bunch to prove which it was.

One more thing. Did V1 not Audibly Alert or Not Visually alert as well?
