I've begun to do so lol.

Last week I added the comment 'using laser' to the first trooper and 'has a client' to the second trooper about 30 seconds down the highway.

Today I added 'Tahoe sitting at entrance to E Sher exit'.

(Both of those had already been pinned)

I like to leave a comment if there's an accident so let others know what lane(s) are blocked.

Generally no. I feel much more then a screen tap to report or clear a road alert is too much of a driving distraction. If other people want to, fine. I just hope they don’t run into the @$$ of my car while doing so.

If it's a Laser trap or a well hidden trap (IE overpass shots, well hidden in the bushes, Aircraft etc) I will comment or if I'm dropping the original pin I will add text before I drop the pin to tell folks what and where to look, in hopes that folks wont down vote the pin simply cause they didn't see the threat... Plus it gives other users more info, helps them know what to look for so they can avoid future traps by having better awareness of techniques used.

EDIT (I use voice to Text for this). otherwise it's too many buttons to type out a whole comment

I don't add and generally don't read the few I notice. Is there a way to have them automatically expanded so you don't need to tap it ?
I'm not that proficient at speed with the buttons to add a comment. I can barely peck at the buttons to send a report as it is. :p

I don't read the comments on LEOs 99% of the time. Waze doesn't make the comment situation easy to read at a glance. Maybe if I happen to be stopped in traffic but I'm usually out on the twisty mountain highways.
Also, in previous versions, reading the comment somehow prevented me from later thumbing up or down.

When I'm stopped yes. If there is a pothole on a two lane road, I usually mention which lane it is in.

Nope, I don't have enough hands when driving unless I come to a stop light, but I'm usually not running Waze in town anyway. I'll read the ones left on LEO tags though, sometimes you find geniuses like this

90 percent of the time idiots around here do that.

I do leave a comment if it’s a LIDAR trap.
