Heads up guys, I noticed an odd bug on my ride in this morning, There were some severely stale pins (police, weather, traffic etc) that were more than a day old and were clearly no longer there but weren't going away after the usual time limit or downvotes, I'm guessing it's a problem on Waze's server end of things, other user were commenting on the pins that the problem was gone as voting them down doesn't seem to be clearing the pins, when I voted them down they cleared from my view, not sure if they did from everyone else's though. not sure what this means in terms of new pins being added... was quite annoying to be getting day old police reported ahead alerts, especially since you can't tell how old the pin is when it alerts unless you click on the pin itself.

Hopefully everybody is back at the office today and they will correct this problem :)

You are correct sir. When I got to work I was checking local traffic on the map and noticed a sheet ton of pins. I thought that's weird. I didn't think anything of it until I saw your post and went back to check.
Some of the Police pins are up to 18 hours old with no one thumbs up'ing them. Yep, something's amiss.
Have a good day.

I've seen stale reports in NC as well. A few weeks ago I saw that I had -1 points and it did get fixed then so I hope that it's not a big issue for us. :)

Just checked now, my points are back, New reports are showing up, stale reports are still there... which sucks as I see there is a police officer hiding in an area that has stale pins, hopefully those old pins still alert for people...

I'd rather have stale pins than no pins.

I reported it last night. I had police reports that were 7 hours old.

I passed an obvious speed trap entering SC this morning. I marked it of course but it didn't show up a minute or so later.
I would like to see Waze change colors on older reports. Grey them out a bit or something else that shows they are not as recent but still quickly identifiable; Like Trapster used to do. :)

I have always found their support and forum sites totally lacking. How about a top level alert that says " experiencing problems. we are working on it "

Not seeing stale pins here in Rock Hill, SC either. I didn't look before, but they aren't stale now.

Just checked on line. Looks like its clearing up. Oldest pin is now 1.5 hours. Most are current though.

I saw day old pins last night up here in Vancouver, Canada. Looks to be all cleared up as of this morning.
