I've had this car almost a year now after trading the 2014, about time I finally got an install thread up for it now that I have everything permanently reinstalled the way I want it! I elected not to put the CB radio back in, the Cobra 29LX unit I had was very bulky and a cause of complaining from my passengers, and all I ever really heard on it was racist banter.

ALP heads have been extensively tested with my own TruSpeed S lidar gun, and perform exceptionally well in their current locations.

Uniden BCD436HP up and running, though it looks like this will be replaced with the new SDS100 when that hits the market. This has dedicated USB power and is connected to GPS.

Photo Apr 26, 7 23 08 PM.jpg

Master power/kill switch and individual circuits for the ALP, R3, and Scanner to selectively enable/disable. ALP HiFi control pad mounted in easy reach.

Photo Apr 26, 7 25 55 PM.jpg

Blackvue DR650GW-2CH mounted behind the mirror, fully hidden from driver view. This thing is really showing its age, and will be replaced with the DR900S-2CH soon. Now upgraded to the DR900S-2CH

Front end. I don't drive around with the plate stored.

Rear end. The scanner antenna is mounted on a permanent NMO base, which is silicone sealed.

My favorite pic I've ever taken of this thing! This is what it's supposed to look like when it isn't covered in stupid pollen.

EDIT 7-28-18
New scanner mount installed www.rdforum.org: New Ram Pod mount for my scanner
Blackvue DR900S-2CH upgrade (looks basically the same)
RTR lighted grille installed, summer wheels/tires swapped back on

ooh got the premium package.... hurts the glass placement. :p

I guess after two years I'll have to post mine which will suck by comparison. But content is king.

BTW, is that a mag mount your using? How is it doing at high speed? I was losing mine at speeds above 120

Hey, you got tagged in another forum as an unmarked LEO. I don’t have that bragging right lol! I’m sure your car looks even better than before!

Yep, that’s a Scosche Magic Mount. It’s been rock solid for me, it’s held up to 150+ on several occasions. On a closed course, naturally. There is another one holding up my scanner with some help from a Velcro strip at the top.

If you're serious can you PM me the connection? I get that from time to time.

I thought that was a post of yours here? Maybe you were just talking about someone saying something at a car show now that I think back on it. It was several months ago if not longer.

My username comes in part from wanting to build a drag car from a fox-body Mustang when I was younger, I always used to drool over my mom’s ‘82 GT!

He posted it here, and I believe it was from a Facebook group.

Sorry I skipped over this. It’s a Scosche brand Magic Mount, this particular one uses 3M adhesive to stick to the dash but they make other versions that have suction cups too. I picked it up at Walmart it the automotive section, but Best Buy and Target have them too.

I use iOttie and Scoche suction cup mounts to the FRONT and SIDE of the dash without any issues! GReat mounts. Keep my windshield and dashboard top empty!

Sure was. Found it @erickonphoenix

Oh yeah, I get a lot less of that since I dropped the dash radio. But I never know if I'm being tagged elsewhere particularly if we're doing radar testing. @romclean and I were shooting Lidar one day which would have been a Mustang and Impala on the side of a service road and some dude stops to asks us if we're cops. After we told him no, he proceeded to tell us all about his domestic problems.

Those Scosche Magic Mounts are awesome. I have 3 of them in each of two cars (6 total) for holding phones and RDs.

I got pinned on Waze once when I was parked on the side of a major road at night, while testing the abilities of the Kustom Golden Eagle. Made me wonder if a forum member drove by.
