All of my countermeasures have been installed fairly recently so I'm always excited when I get a change to test them in real world scenarios. The other day I went across town in my work truck to pickup a welder that I found on Craigslist but this truck gets driven maybe 100 miles a year and it's usually just to home depot so no countermeasures installed. Well, of course I pass the mother load of opportunities. Driving down this windy back road past a garbage dump and water treatment facility I look ahead and see 3 traffic motorcycles and 1 cop car doing the whole walk out into the middle of the road and wave you to the side to get your tickets. Man I wish I had been in my car so I could have driven back and forth to do some real world testing because of the difficult terrain, small back road, and amount of radar ****ery going on.

Yep, sounds about right. That's how it always seems to work out. Good thing you didn't fall into their trap without protection.
Were you able to at least mark it on Waze ?

A setup like that around here usually entails the use of laser. If that is the case there too, you may have been disappointed with the lack of, or late, alerts.

Be patient grasshopper, there will be many other opportunities. ;)

Based on personal experience I do not recommend "driving back and forth" through a police speed trap.

I do it every time I see one unless I have some where to be at that time. You can gain some valuable info about your detector

This is EXACTLY one of the reasons I wanted to test so I could get some use on my yet untested ALP setup.

Yes, I did mark it on Waze at least

It's a conscious effort to even get this truck to the speed limit so I wasn't worried as I turned that corner to see the fuzz walking around in the middle of the damn street

    - I would say it depends on how much traffic there is. If its on a busy expressway shouldn't be a problem. They won't notice you. If its on a back road with little traffic, I wouldn't risk poking the Bear.
