Please note MRCD is still in Beta Testing but this update will improve false alerts with MRCD enabled and also improve performance against some MultiRadar sources.

If you do not need MRCD in your area there is really no need to update your firmware. For those in areas where MRCD below is a link to the update file:

https://www.alpriorityusa.com/assets/images/NRALPDSP.BIN

You just add the file to a USB Drive the same way you load ALP firmware updates.

How can you confirm successful firmware update? The bin file is no longer on the USB...

You are good to go. If it failed the file would still be there.

@flyinverted , do you have just 1 DSP? I have a DSP up front and a standard NR in the rear, and do not see that entry for Antenna version! Under connected sensors, what do you have for RG3?

@BestRadarDetectors any ideas? I had upgraded the firmware yesterday for ALP, and NRDSP when BRD announced it.

To answer the fist question, I just have the one DSP. Incidentally my other car has the NR-classic that used to be on this one and it also shows the FW of the antenna, thought it too is a single installation.

Don't recall about the RG3, just hopped in the car yesterday to screenshot what I saw.

In stat file it will show up after updating the NR antenna fw with file from first post. But this is update just for people with MRCD in area.
Not sure if it is recommended for guys that are not using MRCD.

I see both antennas front and rear... Rear is regular and front is DSP.

OCD kicked in - One thing I noticed (not big deal) but antennas are not under radar antenna section
@BestRadarDetectors

Regarding the MRCD update I did notice less falses. But also start getting msg front radar antenna disconnected, even it is not... Lets say I got msg in area where is K band... It will still alert even I got msg that is disconnected. Never had these issues before...

Most of this is new and is still in Beta functionality. We are looking into the disconnected error,

Yea, no joy. Updated firmware, but my stats don't show the NR firmware version nor RG3 connections. Beta is beta!
Just got back from a road trip, NRDSP/R worked like a champ. Just wish we could setup the sensitivity for the Highway mode!

Hi,

I use and enjoy my ALP with NR DSP every day.

FYI - I too, don't see my NR DSP in stats. However NR DSP seems to be working properly.

Backstory:

I just recently installed/updated my three RX head one NR analog to two RX, one TX and swapped NR analog to NR DSP.

Did reset/relearn and TX is visible, but NR DSP is nowhere to be seen in stats. NR DSP does detect/alert.

BestRadarDetector has been great with support. I am betting this glitch will be worked out.

I don't see my NR/DSP in stats either but both antennas work fine. It's a small glitch with no real world performance impact.

My RG3 module is acting up. I borrow other one to test and not getting any disconnect errors. It is kinda strange.

Is RG3 2 years warranty?

Do you have BT? If so check and see if old RG3 module gets a firmware update.

Yes, I have BT. When I run update through ALP connect it says it is up to date.

If you only have a random error here and there wait for the next update within the next 2 weeks and see if it goes away. The issue mostly presents itself in mixed environments since the antennas operate at different speeds so if you have a DSP and NR Original both connected you will get random radar antenna disconnected and engineering is working on it.

Ok, thank you. I will wait for update, but note that if RG3 module have warranty 2 years, it is expiring for me in two weeks.
I hope you will be able to warranty it if update do not help.

EDIT: And yes running DSP (Front) and Regular (Rear) NET.

I'm running NR DSP/NR Front/rear without any disconnect issues. But then again, my stats do not list the NR firmware versions as above.

???... I didn't think you could update radar detector side with App...or can you?

I was thinking about updating my DSP also but thought I would have to get a special file from BRD and load to USB ...is that correct?
