So, I've been running an R3 for about a month now, and I had my first "wow" moment and thought I would share. Not certain how long the LEO was stationary and had his customer, but from first detection to LEO was 2.9 miles as the crow flies. PSL was 65 and I was running close to this once alerted. As you will see/hear I lost the signal a few times. I was shocked by this alert as you can hear on the video (you will also hear a BSM alert early on in the video). There is a map @ the end of the video showing the on-ramp & the curvature of I-4.

This is my first video hosted on Youtube, its unlisted, hope this works...

Second video was a 90 degree encounter as I was approaching a stop sign. The LEO may have just turned onto the stretch of road (as you will see where I make a right at the end of the video (flash signal), and generally that is the direction most of the traffic comes from. Wasn't overly impressed here, but certainly adequate notice not to "floor it" and observe PSL.

[Intention was to put both files on Viemo, but the initial video was too large)

    Map of 1st encounter.
I welcome your thoughts on both encounters...

Yep That first encounter was a solid detection, I'd fully believe he had been sitting right about where you'd found him the entire time. I have had several similar encounters like that on the R1. Glad you are liking the R3 :)

I was initially very skeptical of all the hype. Figured a super sensitive RD without Auto Lock Outs, and a limit of 200 manual lock outs would drive me crazy, but I have been very pleased with its performance, ability to customize band sensitivity, and Quite Ride. All of this equals a readily nice RD, plus the perks of All Threats display & constant improvement from the manufacture as they solicit & test ideas with the forum members.

As others have mentioned, I do miss not having a Bluetooth interface with an app for data/alert logging, but in the grand scheme of things - this is minor as the purpose of the RD to provided advanced warnings for lurking threats!
