I just finished putting together a review video for the new Beltronics GT-360. It's essentially a repackaged Max360 with a few changes, designed exclusively for Beach Camera / BuyDig. Here's the video review:

It's also got things like autolockouts, Escort Live compatibility, arrows, and all the usual Max360 stuff.

Here's the main differences I noticed compared to the Max360:
    • Beltronics black/orange design
    • Arrows are in the OLED display itself now
    • Arrows are more cramped and harder to read
    • Arrows are always white and can't be customized by color
    • Arrows are less accurate than the Max360/Max360c
    • No Standard Plus audio alert tone to notify you when you detect a new bogey
    • K / Ka Band Segmentation (muting only like the 360c, not adjusting sweeps or performance)
    • EZ mag magnetic mount like the Max360c, Redline EX, and iX
    • Retails for $549 instead of $649 for the Max360
    • OLED display is more flush with the front of the detector
    • Orange bezel around display is very shiny and reflects sunlight into your eyes
Personally I don't like it. It's my least favorite of the three Belscort M6's.

    Finally, here's a few photos.

Wow, yeah, this looks like just a cost-reduced attempt at a M6, except the cost isn't quite reduced. Oh well, seems like you're better off with a Max360 or Max360c if you're into this platform.

Some of the issues you mentioned the 360 had when they 1st came out. Maybe those will be worked out in time. Guess it does give a person a choice to get a above average detector for less. Thanks for the intro

Thanks for the write up@Vortex .
I’ve always been curious why Escort won’t implement true segmentation on the 360 platform..?? I’d think they would want to squeeze any preformance out of it that they could.

But the most important question is, does it say caveman?

EDIT: Had a chance to watch the video. Needs more caveman.

Yes, it does sound like "caveman" when it announces K band. Watch the video.

@Vortex , did you do any segmentation performance testing on the Bel 360 ?? Just curious. Or, is it simply acting as a mute?

I did when I got home and added my edit. It's still kinda there, but it's not as obvious as the Magnum or even the GT-7.

My kids used to get a kick out of it. They'd say dad, you've got a live one, meaning " caveman." I don't run my Bel s much anymore and sorta miss the "manly man" sound.

Vortex, you are a saint for devoting the time and energy to test the GT360. You are also a true gentlemen by concluding with, "Personally I don't like it. It's my least favorite of the three Belscort M6's.". I would have trashed the thing as a solution in search of a problem. While this is my opinion only, the GT360 is proof positive that customer service is distant priority for Escobra. To modify the Max 360 and turn it into the GT 360 requires programming, new plastic molding dies/equipment, licensing agreements with Beach Camera and BuyDig etc. That adds up to a serious chunk of change. How many GT360 units have to be sold by Beach Camera and BuyDig to cost-justify this expenditure? And yet members are still reporting lockup issues with the Max 360 and it got its @$$ whooped in HC's recent 34.7 test? I'll conclude my rant by stating that Beach Camera charges sales tax in many states....NJ is at almost 7%. $550.00 x 1.07=$588.50. That is dangerously close to simply ordering the Max 360 directly from Escort, although I won't be ordering that thing in my lifetime.

Thanks for the review Vortex. If is was a top performance RD I still couldn’t get past the fuglyness of it. And that’s coming from a guy that owns an orange motorcycle.

I prefer the black and silver theme much better like the original STI Driver.

I didn't do any testing with it, but I have no reason to believe it's not the same thing as the Max360c, especially how adamant Escort has been about how segmentation isn't even necessary on the digital platforms.

Why make something soooo ugly? It's objectively outdated looking, looks older than the redline by far and the redline is ancient.

I was shooting a setup tutorial video on it earlier today and it looks like the GT-360 carries over the same lockup issues that plague the Max360 and Max360c.

@Jag42 With all the similar, unresolved issues as the Max360, I think "polished" is being generous. Also, whoever designed that case needs to go back to school and get his/her money back. He failed industrial design. That case is hideous especially that front bezel.

Wow! I was partially joking about the lock-up being carried over, but that is crazy. Now 3 RD's over $500 that lock up, lol.

They just do not care one bit about their customers. If they did they would not release a 'new' product with known flaws.

Has anyone filed a complaint with the BBB in regards to this and their operating practices?

I will say I bought a product from a vendor (just under 2k) and it had issues, went back and forth for repairs a couple times, long story short I filed a complain with the BBB and they mediated the issue and got the company to do exactly what I wanted them to do. It was the last resort, and I was surprised, but it worked very well.

Wonder if informing them of their shady business practices will do much?

After all I went through the last two weeks with my M360’s this doesn’t surprise me one bit. I honestly don’t think we should even be discussing or reviewing their WS mounted products anymore. I mean what’s the point? The Max 2 is basically unusable until new BSM update releases, which we all know is not going to happen. The 360/360c are complete bricks in my opinion. The RedlineEX, although currently bug free, was the biggest disappointment in Escort history. And now the GT-360 with its fugly design and buggy software...I think the best message we can send to escort is to stop collaborating about their products. Don’t include them on anymore testing at all other than remotes. Maybe then they will understand the magnitude of their problem when reviewers and testers aren’t even paying attention to them anymore.
