What are the best options for recording audio/video traffic stops? Interior and exterior. I currently have a Momento M5 front/rear dash cam installed but am unable to actually see the police officer. Are there any other products I could purchase to help protect me? Money is no issue. Thanks

However, there is also something to be said about audio/video recording rights in your area. It is my understanding that audio recording is typically not an issue, but video recording (like of the Police at your window) may have legality stipulations, or may not be admissible in court, etc. Others on the forum can speak on this topic, as there is at least one other thread relating to said legality floating around here somewhere.

Like @DaveD said check your states laws. Here, it is one party so boohoo to anyone who complains.

Most states if youre a party to the conversation its okay to record

These 12 states require both parties to consent
Also in the one party states youll still want to stick with public recording areas
In something like a home where a person would expect privacy
The one party law can get dicey
