Can someone highlight the proper placement - will put 1 TX + 2 regular heads on both the front & rear

Here you go! Center is always the TX (Port 2) I have it lower on the AMG cause whatever is in the center top I dont think you can get it in there?

Those grills don't look to bad to work with, make sure all heads are level and straight and not recessed and you should have a solid install. If you are up against tough guns like dragoneye, make sure to get them tested as thats the only way to know for sure that there aren't any tweaks that need to be made.

The TX head on the front of the Mercedes needs to move up 2 slats IMO.

    Thanks to everyone here

Not the best picture but there's solid black plastic on the center of the grill shielding the radar cruise control stuff so center ALP head has to be either below this area (lower) or off to one side (higher)

    Generally higher is preferred no?

Yeah you need to get that TX sensor two slats up. But only testing will tell

This picture might be better showing the radar cruise area (blue box) that I can't cut

My options for the TX are either the yellow or purple oval, and I think most would recommend yellow = higher but off-centered vs lower but more central

If I'm wrong and purple is preferred, definitely let me know

I think everyone is in agreement for the regular heads (red ovals)

If it were me, instead of the, (yellow), TX on top of that slat, put it on the bottom side of the same slat.

So you'd put the yellow lower 1 slat i.e. inline with the AMG logo on the driver's side?

I would. That's approximately where I have mine as far as height goes. Keep in mind, mine haven't been tested yet, but I did my placement on @Andrew21 advice.

    Suv looks good
Will need to test to see if rx sensors need to stay or go up or down 1 slat tx will stay as is

You would think the rear would be perfect but with the large glass surface areas if you get PTs on that rear setup youll have to experiment

    @nicholat what's your opinion

One issue - check the side profile. I've been told the bubble needs to "see" in all directions, but unless I mount the heads far out, their "sight" especially to the center are obscured since the grill/fascia is angled forward like an arrow (vs being a flat front like most cars).

    Thoughts?

Just have them sticking a hair out from the chrome trim---with 3 heads you will be fine, plus most LEO will not shoot Lidar at extreme angles anyway....

I just installed my ALP on my E63 which looks almost the same as the S class.

    Here are my picture.

NOT TESTED against dragon eye yet

Thank you, but it's really 2 heads since the center head is a TX right i.e. not a regular head

It is but you can ignore it for now - I asked them to temporarily mount them (double side tape, etc) but I can already tell heads it was a quick job so going to re-mount them all better, dead flat in all dimensions, etc.

From what I see the heads look about right--just get them leveled up and TEST your setup

Uh oh, I may have told my shop incorrectly, too. I thought each head RX spit out ~26" oval bubble of protection (13" radius) so my RX heads will be about 23-25" apart ... I'm having my sensors moved to - more permanently and accurately mounted - the red and yellow areas.
